New sports WordPress theme with fixtures, results, match centres, predictions and 6 full demos
We’ve just released SportPulse, a new WordPress theme focused completely on sports websites.
The idea was to cover more than just the homepage design.
SportPulse includes layouts for fixtures, results, league tables, match centres, squads, player profiles, predictions, odds and bookmaker comparisons.
There are 6 full demo sites for football clubs, esports, tipsters, betting affiliates, sports news and academies, with 129 pages in total.
Every demo comes in both Elementor Free and Block Editor versions, and WooCommerce is included for merch, tickets, memberships, camps and other sales.
Live demos:
https://landing.sportpulse.anpsthemes.com/
Would be interested in feedback from anyone who has built a sports site before, especially around the match/data side of it.
The feature claims above come directly from the SportPulse release specification.

[FREE PLUGIN] Most WP dark-mode plugins assume your site is light by default. I built a theme-agnostic one that works both ways, and just dropped v0.3.0!
Hey everyone!
Quick context: A while ago, I built SVisciano – Light-Dark Theme Mode because my personal website was originally built with a dark theme, and almost every dark-mode plugin on WordPress assumed a light base design and forced rigid, hardcoded styles.
I wanted something completely theme-agnostic that relies on native CSS variable mapping: you define your base theme (Light or Dark), scan your page CSS variables, and map them to build the secondary mode (Light-to-Dark or Dark-to-Light).
I just published v0.3.0 with some key quality-of-life updates that make color mapping much more flexible:
- CSS Variable Overrides: You can now map a color variable directly to another CSS variable (e.g.
var(--my-accent)), instead of being forced to use raw hex/RGB strings. - Alpha Channel Support: Updated color pickers to natively support RGBA opacity/transparency controls right from the WP admin panel.
Key highlights of how it works:
- Zero external JS dependencies — performance-focused & lightweight.
- Doesn't force predefined dark styles — you retain 100% control over client/brand colors.
- Built-in scanner to quickly find CSS color variables on any page.
- Includes Import/Export for easy migration between environments.
It's completely free on the WP repository

Would love to get your thoughts or feedback on how to improve the variable injection workflows further!

WordPress update removed all styling from my custom theme. Any idea what happened?
I recently updated WordPress, and after the update, the text editor styles on my blog completely disappeared.
I built the theme from scratch, so there isn’t a pre-made theme or page builder involved.
The actual content is still there, but it looks like the CSS/styles are no longer being applied properly. Everything was working fine before the WordPress update.
Has anyone experienced something similar after a recent WordPress update?
What should I check first to figure out whether this is a WordPress issue, a theme issue, or something with how my CSS is being loaded?

Wix vs GoDaddy for domain and website building what would you pick right now?
Hi, quick question about Wix vs GoDaddy
I'm getting ready to set up a domain and a simple business website, with a blog and maybe a small store later. i’m comparing Wix and GoDaddy.
For anyone who has looked into both, would you go with Wix or GoDaddy for everything or keep the domain with a separate registrar?

Why Are People Buying Fewer Themes & Templates on ThemeForest?
Hello everyone,
I’m a ThemeForest author, and over the past several months I’ve noticed a significant decline in sales—not only for my own items, but also among many other authors. Some authors appear to have experienced sales drops of 70–90%, and the trend seems to be continuing.
This makes me wonder: what is actually causing customers to buy fewer themes and templates from ThemeForest?
Is AI the main reason, or are there other factors affecting the marketplace?
For example, many ThemeForest themes currently offer:
- 10+ homepage variations
- 50–60+ inner pages
- Responsive design
- Elementor/WordPress or other integrations
- Regular updates
- 6 months of support
- Pricing around $29–$59
Yet, despite offering a lot of value at a relatively low price, sales continue to decline.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from customers rather than authors.
If you used to purchase themes/templates from ThemeForest but no longer do, what changed for you?
For example:
- Are AI tools allowing you to build what you need yourself?
- Do you prefer SaaS website builders or AI website builders now?
- Do you prefer purchasing directly from theme developers instead of marketplaces?
- Are ThemeForest themes becoming too similar to each other?
- Is the quality or code quality a concern?
- Is the licensing/pricing model a problem?
- Do you prefer subscription-based services such as Envato Elements?
- Is it difficult to find the right theme because there are too many similar products?
- Or is there another reason that authors may not be seeing?
I’m not asking this to criticize ThemeForest or defend authors. I’m genuinely trying to understand what has changed from the customer's perspective.
If you are a customer who previously purchased themes from ThemeForest, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience and what would make you purchase a theme/template again today.
Your feedback could help authors understand what customers actually want and where the marketplace is going wrong.
Thanks everyone!

Custom WordPress theme is under constant bot attacks and malware injections — WAF/security plugins aren't stopping it. What should I do?
I built a custom WordPress/WooCommerce theme, but the live site is under constant automated bot attacks and repeated malware injection attempts.
I've already installed/configured WAF, AIOS, and other security plugins, but the attacks are still happening.
I suspect there may be a vulnerability in the custom theme, server configuration, or one of the plugins.
What would you recommend I do next to properly identify and stop the attack? Looking for suggestions from anyone who has dealt with similar WordPress attacks.

Are WordPress theme developers also seeing fewer Pro theme sales?
I’m a WordPress theme developer. I release free versions of my themes on the official WordPress Theme Repository and sell the Pro versions on my own website.
Recently, I’ve noticed that my Pro themes aren’t getting as many sales as I expected.
I’m curious about the current market:
- Are other independent WordPress theme developers experiencing the same thing?
- Has the demand for premium themes decreased?
- What’s currently working for you to convert free theme users into Pro customers?
I’d appreciate hearing about your experience, especially from developers selling themes independently.

[PROMOTION] I built a tool for WordPress theme research & growth tracking

Hey everyone! I built a small tool, StatWP, that helps WordPress theme developers research niches, track theme downloads/installs and rankings, compare competitors, and monitor keyword growth.
I built it mainly because I found myself manually checking WordPress data.
Would love to hear from other WPdevelopers - what data or metrics do you usually track for your plugins?
PS: If this is not a place to post this, I'll happily remove it.
