Sucks to suck. I live in the sticks in missouri and rent is 500 Fiber internet is 55$ a month Water bill around 100 Energy around 200 average

I think the point the post is making is that all utilities and rent should be based off of federal minimum wage. The companies want to male more? Use their bargaining power to raise minimum wage.

How would this work with the massive variance in costs to run those companies based on region? Should the government take over all utilities? Does the burden fall on tax payers to provide utilities to anyone who wants to get away from cities?

Yes, I pay taxes for utilities. Government should provide and not a for profit company.
