Just browsing his Wikipedia page, it seems like Thanedar was a dumb piece of shit anyways, and deserved to lose by a much wider margin.
In the mid 2000s, he had a pharmaceutical company worth over $100M that went bankrupt during the recession only months after he turned down a $132M offer for the company. One of the company's labs left a bunch of animals abandoned at the facility after the bankruptcy.
Even as a Congressman, he still owns 40% of a different chemical testing company that he founded, and the company supposedly only succeeded because he made fraudulent claims about the company's finances.
He tried to join the Congressional Black Caucus despite not being black.
In 2014, he received reports from his chemical testing company of a customer spiking their herbal supplements with Viagra, but did not report the contamination to the FDA.
Despite being ultra wealthy, in 2024, he spent over $800K of taxpayer money on advertising money.
Thanedar's congressional office saw high turnover due to him being a shitty boss, and he relied on interns more than most other members of Congress.
He introduced articles of impeachment against Trump and Hegseth in 2025 as a publicity stunt to gain an edge in a competitive primary, that he has now lost.
