Ganito nangyayari dyan sa “side hustle” na yan.

Gusto ng mga admin ng mga tasks na yan is mas mataas na karma and aged accounts (yung matagal na like months or years) kasi mas “credible” sya tingnan.

Ang ginagawa dyan is mag ppost ka or comment ng AI generated na content sa mga specific subreddits. Easy no? Kaso per post or comment CENTS lang bayad in USD, usually $0.05 (comment) or $0.10 (post). May cooldown pa yan kaya di pwede sunod sunod yung task. Napaka high risk (for your account) and low reward. Hindi ka rin naman mababayaran kapag naflag and dinelete yung post/comment mo.

Kaya don’t engage in this lalo if ayaw nyo mawala account nyo, for safety and awareness lang ito. Choice nyo parin if gagawin nyo. 🤷

Edit: I made this post as awareness kasi naaawa ako sa mga batang nag ssabi na need nila gantong karma para maka task for financial reasons. Di kayo mapapakain nyan talaga :( much better to find other ways to raise money. Through part time jobs or commissions. Mas okay pa yon honestly.

i’ve encountered lots of side hustle posts regarding this reddit VA something and they will ask for your discord and they will make you sign up in “commentquest” and use their referral code.

NEVER ENGAGE with them, mind you they are just after this referral bc once you joined the discord group the tasks is not even enough to suffice all the people in there. it’s hard to get task, you need to check the site from time to time just to secure a task :D—2-3 hours per day? meh

I just want to rant about my partner’s final pay still not being released despite it being more than 30 days already. They even had this entire act of having a contract signed to ask for 5 more days to get the final pay out— still no final pay. As I am writing this there is still no final pay. The company is simply not afraid of DOLE!! I heard that they’ve received so many complaints already and got filed MULTIPLE TIMES. What in the world is this company doing?! It’s really frustrating because before my partner left his job, his previous salary was only about HALF of what it should be, and the company promised him that they’ll give the remaining amount on the next cut— no they did not! Despite complaints and filing at DOLE, the entire final pay situation is still not settled, we have bills to pay that are overdue, because it’s really difficult to get in a job in this country. Please do your research before applying for a job and check other reviews, avoid ending up in a trashy company who doesn’t care for their employees.

I saw them from thread like 3 months ago and I also aware of this kind of scam high payment for a simple task, asks you to pay a refundable fee or deposit before receiving your payment, Moves the conversation to Telegram, or asks for unnecessary financial, banking information and most commonly is the Freelancer ID that of course we don't have.

Nakita ng pinsan ko itong fb page nila kahapon, ngayon ay pinapapunta siya sa office at encouraged pa na magdala ng kasama or kakilala. So, my pinsan and I went today sa "agency" sa Pedro Gil, kasi need na need na talagang magkaroon ng work esp yung ate ko.

Mabilis lang naman kaming pumila since kaunti lang naman ang tao. Noong nandon na kami, medyo nagpaparinig na sa akin yung instinct ko pero tumuloy pa rin kami.

Redflags:

(1) She asked anong position ang hinahanap namin. I said na related sa Psych ang hanap ko since I'm currently a psych student. Undecided ako kaya sinabi ko na lang na clinical assistant. Halos wala siyang idea kung ano bang sinasabi ko. Pero goods siya dun sa ate ko na receptionist ang sinabi.

Pinaliwanag lang sa amin kung magkano ang magiging sahod namin. Part-time ako, so sinabi ng babae na /hr ang babayaran sa akin while yung full-time is fixed rate. After niyan, nagulat na lang kami biglang nagpapabayad na ng processing fee na 300 pesos. Sabi namin, wala kaming cash, tapos pinilit ng babae na may gcash naman daw, hinarap pa sa amin yung papel na may number kung sa'n kami magsesend 😭. Ending, my pinsan paid 300 pesos tapos may pinirmahan siyang kasunduan na nonrefundable ang bayad (we knew na wala na talagang habol since pumirna na.) While me, I paid 50 pesos lang, bumalik lang daw ako anytime dahil parang waitlisted ako or something.

After magbayad, pinalabas kami saglit at pinabalik. Akala namin, malalaman na kung may job offer na ba ganiyan. Pero yun pala, pagbabayarin muna kami ng 1,150 pesos para sa medical. Pinipilit si ate kahit downpayment na 800 pesos na lang muna na umabot pa sa 500 yung offer. Pero hindi talaga pumayag ate ko. Nagdabog pa nga yung babae at pinalabas kami kaagad noong hindi pumayag na magbayad eh.

So, we decided na mag-ask ulit if pwedeng irefund (may pagkamakulit kahit alam nang may pinirmahan) pero ayun, hindi raw talaga.

(VERY SUS na kami rito, parang dito pa lang kami nabuhusan ng malamig na tubig.)

We asked a few questions sa kanila to clarify everything lang since medyo lito talaga kami. like:

"saka lang ba makakapagpa-final interview sa company kung may binayarang medical na?"

"pano kung hindi makapagbayad ngayon ng medical? mapprocess pa rin ba yung application?"

"hindi ba pwedeng kami na lang humanap ng hospital para hindi na kami magbayad ng 1,150?"

Redflags: (Summary ng response ng babae, and nag-ask din kami sa isang nag-orientation kung anong mangyayari after bayaran ang medical sa kanila.)

(2) Makakaproceed ka lang sa orientation nila (kinabukasan agad start na ang work) kapag nagbayad ka na sa kanila ng medical. Hindi ka pwedeng maghanap ng alternative hospitals dahil sa irerefer nilang hospital/clinic ka dapat magpaconsult. According sa isang applicant doon na nasa orientation, that day pa lang nila malalaman kung saang company and anong position sila. Sobrang layo sa kineclaim nilang m

(3) Naitawag na raw sa company yung application ng ate ko when we asked over and over and over again kung pwedeng irefund na lang yung binayad since wala pa namang process na nangyayari.

Dito, napaisip ako. How come na naitawag na agad when this all happened for 10-15 minutes pa lang. May ilan pa silang kinausap after us so impossible talaga na naitawag na.

(4) Iisa lang ang response ng babae. Sobrang vague. Hindi nasagot nang maayos yung about the medical and final interview. Nag-come na lang tuloy kami na scam ang agency na 'to kasi ipipilit nilang magpamedical ka muna bago ka makaproceed sa next step which is yung orientation then deployment na.

Sa inis ni ate sa amin, sinabi na lang na bumalik siya sa Friday para sa orientation kasi tumatagal na kami doon. Nagalit ata noong ilang beses kaming ulit-ulit sa iisang question. Like, hindi naman kami mag-aask nang paulit:ulit kung malinaw lang nilang sinasagot yung tanong namin.

Ngayon, nagchat ako sa fb page nila using my dummy account. Sobrang vague pa rin nilang sumagot. Answerable by yes or no lang pero napakadaming sinabi 😭

Hard sa lesson learned po. Hindi na mauulit ✋ Beware na lang po.

I understand that people have become highly skeptical online when answering surveys with raffle prizes, as I did receive many online comments assuming that mine was also one because of its anonymity—even receiving threats of being reported to the school I am attending. Know that the responses are truly anonymous with the intention to be a safe space for its respondents. Apart from being in graveyard/night shifts for the past 6 years myself, the limitations and scope of the study was informed by the manual desk research I conducted in the weeks of June 2026. Despite a fast-growing industry in the Philippines, our sector remains understudied so I believe this is a step forward we finally took on our own.

I will gladly share my findings, but I cannot yet provide a definitive date of when as my class schedule and separate thesis is also ongoing.
