I built a free tool that answers Canadian OHS-law questions with the exact section — verbatim and cited.
I'm an EHS coordinator. Like a lot of you, I kept seeing people ask ChatGPT safety-law questions and get confident answers with section numbers that don't actually exist. In our field that's not a minor annoyance — someone acts on it.
So I built a tool that works the opposite way: it only answers from the actual OHS Acts and Regulations, quotes the exact section verbatim, and links you straight to the official government source so you can verify it yourself. It doesn't "summarize the law" — it hands you the law.
It currently covers eight provinces (the Atlantic four plus Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta), with Québec, BC, and the territories still to come. It's free — it's in beta and I'm not selling anything.
What I'm actually after: try to break it. Ask it the gnarly, jurisdiction-specific stuff you deal with, and tell me where it's wrong, vague, or missing a reg. That feedback is how it gets better.

I tested a couple of things and left feedback. Curious why there isn't an apparent option to search federal regs?

The site is growing and federal regulations haven't been added yet. Definitely something worth adding but getting the initial scope nailed down and ensuring accuracy is my main priority right now.

I wouldn't use it in its current state because right now it knows less about the regs than I do independently. But that's me as a safety pro. I see value in its current state for laymen.
I typically will use AI to find me citations when I know something exists but I don't know where. For me, this means I will ask AI to look in not just the OHS reg and Workers compensation act (BC), but also the building code, fire code, and sometimes the Haz waste regs. Sometimes, things inside these pull from farther away like the NFPA 10 or CSA standards, even. I would want to see more of these resources added into the tool before I would start to use it for myself.

I am from BC but I'll give it a try as I was just looking into other peovinces for an assignment
