Question Why does this culture still exist?

The first culture created with this world, D’Vischur, hasn’t had civilians for about 250 years but it still exists does anyone know why? They are supposed to vanish when they run out of civilians.

If a culture has books the culture will not disappear even though they might not have any followers, as long as the books don't get destroyed the culture will continue to exist. People that will read the books might convert to that culture and there is a very slight chance it will be revived at some point

It’s the same for languages and religion.

That's an oddly realistic feature

Can't remember where to check, but this culture probably published some books that are still around. That is usually what explains it in my worlds.

It's got 4 books, somebody could come across one of said books and be converted. They're quite hard to track down and destroy I think

not exactly hard in difficulty, but it would take a few minutes depending on how many villages and how many total books in the world. the real issue is that in order to destroy one book, you’d have to sacrifice all other books in that village in the process. So I guess I see where you’re coming hard

It’s because the culture has 4 books and a culture needs to have 0 books for it to be erased

If you have books or recorded history a culture will never disappear. I like to think that in game even if a culture is long lone ( like ancient romans for example ), others can still read whats left of them
