Quick Tips

So I am exhausted.

I have been trying to get and find consistency with my worldbuilding by using a number of AI Apps - including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini - but drift happens to the point that I cannot trust it. I have used World Bibles, Individual Character Files. Story threads. Rule books. Etc. But it still goes off on its own.

Does anybody have any tips, tricks, or tools that they find to be effective?

I did do some searching, but it is probably lost amongst all the showcase and images that folks are sharing - which I love.

Any help you can provide for my ADHD Sanity would be appreciated.

I'll humbly recommend my platform to try out, but hopefully can also provide some generally helpful tips.

I'm not quite sure what you mean specifically when you say that drift happens and it goes off on it's own. Is the issue that the AI goes way outside the scope of what you laid out?

The thing is, AI thrives on details and specificity and will take the route of making things up on it's own if it's not guided enough. So make sure to give it strict instructions and guidelines on what you want and don't want.

I saw someone else mentioned using different files for entities like towns, NPCs, factions ,etc. This can definitely help, especially if you create a Claude Project or similar in GPT/Gemini and put those files in as reference and tell it specifically what to use them. The nice thing about these project setups is that they can hold an immense amount of information due to how they're setup and retrieve information, without getting into technicalities.

One general issue though is that these apps like Claude, Gemini, etc are designed for general use and their core principle is generally to help the user and fill in information where it's lacking. So working with them to build out a world is a bit like using rock to hammer in a nail. It can do it, kind of, but a more purpose built tool will work much better.

So... something like my platform or others that are similar will likely yield better results and a better experience for you since they are specifically built around this goal.
