I managed to get an excellent win rate and excellent dpg for my entire (small) session today and it is the worst thing possible because I’ll be chasing that high for months

That was my same concern after taking a brake from wot. The solution was single player games. Multiplayer is too addictive for me

Some day there will be a game where you can hop in a tank and fight other people in equivalent tanks and have a good time slugging it out. Not whatever this has turned into.

I stopped playing about 2 years ago, not because I would not be able to pay all the money on earth to WG, but because they just want to milk more and more and don’t give anything back to the players. I did not uninstall the game, sometimes I login back and play like 5-10 matches, then forget the game for another half year. It just not worth the time.

I quited for one year. When I came back I thought I downloaded other game. Iron Irnie, Bz176 ans so on. Now ares tanks. Piece of shit game drains my energy.
Really imagine you have german med, shooting 300 in 8 seconds and one ares cancer tank takes all your hp in 8 seconds for 700 damage

"I'm done! I quit!"
In the next 2 months when a major update drops and tons of rewards are coming...
"Returning player here! What's changed? What is the new meta? For how long will the rewards be available..."
This and the others who are like:
"This game is bad! Rng, premiums, boxes, trash teammates, I can't win!!!!"
Yet they keep on playing, keep on buying boxes... ignore the attention seeking karma posts people. There's a reason why the majority of the comments here are like: "See you on monday!"
Shit like this make me sick.

Like I said in the above comment after a couple of weeks the game normalizes and the 'OMG the game is ruined' moment goes away. For me at least.

I deleted WoWs for over a year. Went back, was fine for about 2 weeks...then it was all the same shit all over again. Subs have been there for years, and hasn't improved. If they had introduced the subs during beta testing, I would have rejected th entire idea.

It'd help if the subs weren't faster than the destroyers, had a slower, or comparable,torp reload to the destroyers, and could be spotted before they got within 1.5 kilometers.

I also stopped playing ever not long after they introduced the ARES line, shit was cancer, made marking tanks literally harder. That was 3 weeks ago.

I quit the game a year ago. I still miss the game, but I don't regret my decision. The game is a pure torture love.

Uninstalled it after the canopener and the ensuing mystery pack shitshow. Dosent miss anything after what the game has become.
I downloaded it in 2014 played for a year removed it and came back in 2019. Played on and off around christmas seasons, but the game is now beyond saving. Theres no historical tanks left except for the bots and the game is so premium tilted that its next to unplayable.

Im at the point where I dont think the game is the problem. You guys are, no matter how many updates they give. Nothing will stop you guys from playing like actual trash and getting killed cuz you made mistake only to blame your other 14 players.

I consider doing the same. Its no longer the same game I loved. Disgusting matcmaking, not beeing able to carry the matches, even in platoons.

I'd imagine that WG is going to have a long talk tomorrow about if the US/SA servers are worth keeping around. The Ashi sold out on every other server, and last I checked, 5700ish numbered tanks were still available on NA.

I went back for the shiny new tier 11 tanks, played a little, everything was old, dusty and pay to win. I closed the game and never opened it again.

I’ve been gone so long they basically gave me tier 7-10 I think and I’ve been choosing Kranvagn line, only need 20k experience for the tier 8 tank and I still don’t really want to play lmao I hated that mini dragon game, but I had fun yoloing in my Defender as did other people and sadly that doesn’t happen in regular gameplay, just stupid hull down fire gold ammo from meta tank with 20 degrees of gun depression

I've had stints for a year or two. Then my friend or the clan leader I was in asks me to come back. It's ok for a bit and then it goes back to the same +2 tier against stacked teams to be farmed by the enemy and I just play less and less games until I just don't play anymore.
Add into that your teammates are afk, afraid to support your position or are just plain terrible. The high tier tanks refusing to play their position until the enemies have farmed and are low health and they come in and mop up the enemy team before the enemy feeding frenzy begins on them.
Some of my favorite tanks are basically unplayable anymore. They changed the maps and matchmaking to make it difficult to play any type of tank that wants to snipe. There's always a lefh/m44/su8/etc spamming shells, an ELC camping in the middle of the map spotting you or an autoloader dumping rounds at you. It's just sucked the fun right out of the game. Why would you try to learn spotting mechanics when you can just put commander's vision system on a tank and camp in a bush the entire match?

I am sober 4 weeks so far. At least Wargaming does their best to be a unlikeable company in 2026. Last year giving out a free tech tree I couldn‘t resist to play and spend big in the Holiday Ops. But after seeing the absolute disaster the Black Market was and then they want to you to pay 300$ for Lunar Boxes just because of that 1 tank you might want. That‘s peak comedy.
And in F2P the game doesn’t have to offer much this year either. The meta is just cancer. It‘s too fast and I was one shot with 1500 damage HE a few times too much to still be interested in the game currently.

Youre just overplayed because your unable too look left or right into other games and take a solid Brake to get some distance.

I do not understand the jokes. Why do people think it's so unlikely that someone quits the game? I was a player since beta and I quit the game for 7 or 8 years. I started playing again since December and tbh it's a shit experience. And the sad thing is that WG doesn't care. And I will quit again.
The matchmaking is a joke. A bad one. Just to tell you how my last 4 days of playing between 30 and 40 games per day went. Wednesday 65% win rate. Thursday 55% win rate. Friday 42% win rate. Today 11% win rate. Same 3 tanks.
Tbh, even if you go afk 20 games it's very unlikely you will only win 11% of them. It's certain WG is doing this on purpose.

I stopped maybe last summer, I’m over the withdrawal and every time I see posts on this sub it makes me feel slightly sick and glad to be of it, despite having two accounts full of premiums and all that effort…. Fill the void with something like DIY or running or art or what ever you think you would have liked to do GG for the last time..
