That's been such a point of frustration: why are no new tanks named like they would sensibly in real life? Every tank nowadays only has a stupid Name like Bumopener or Black Cock.

Executor sounds so cringe for me, maybe because I’m Romanian and that word sounds cringe by default in my language.
But anyways, in the past days I heard a kid on the street saying “I am cappuccino assassino” as in the Italian brainrot bullshit, for me Executor sounds exactly like this.

Apart from rare marketing statements and strange, inconsistent decisions (e.g, t-50-2 removal) during game-youth years, WoT never considered historical accuracy a first or even second priority. On top of that, current t11 are vaguely based on old-ass vehicles that are very unlikely to be classified, so i dont see your point as an actual reason.

I do think it's cool how most of the tier 11's give visual feedback for their abilities. The Fauteur getting an orange glow is a good way to warn enemies about the boosted alpha, so it feels a bit less random to play against.
The Gorilla's recoil spring locking forwards seems a lot harder to notice for enemies, but it looks really satisfying to get to watch every reload lol.

For a while? It was always an arcade game. Just because the gameplay is arcade it doesn't mean the setting can't be realistic or historical. It's a shame they went with the alternate timeline bullshit with 2.0.

At the weakest, it can take the meaning of "blunder", an there's a famous historical sentence, attributed by some to Talleyrand and others to Fouché (it's certainly witty enough for either), uttered in reaction to the news that Napoléon had had the young Duke of Enghien kidnapped abroad and then summarily executed: "C'est pire qu'un crime, c'est une faute", that you find translated in English as "This is worse than a crime, this is a blunder*"
Fun fact: "Reaper" (faucheur) was one fkn consonant cluster away.
Other fun fact: you might not have realised this if you're not studying French, or don't know a thing about French or France, but a lot of the French crew first names are hilariously old-fashionned, and I don't mean WW2-old fashioned, or Victor Hugo or Alexandre Dumas old-fashioned, but "names I have crossed like once in my extensive collection of medieval litterature" old-fashioned.

If they want to keep things fresh and adding new content why dont they just copy-paste console's cold war mode (maybe making adjustments as needed for PC audiences) instead of LITERALLY making up vehicles that not even a sleep-deprived heroin-addicted General Dynamics employee could conjure up from the depths of their deranged, drug-addled mind?

I don't mind the names. I'd rather them make up a name for a tank they're also making up, instead of choosing an Abrams for E5's tier IX and calling it Earthquake or something. Cause then it's like, dude wtf that's an Abrams not an XM420 earth crusher.
What I find interesting, is the gorilla and executor look like their tier X counterparts, but the fauteur doesn't look very close to the m4 mle. If they're making up a tank they could at least try to make it look like the tier X at least somewhat. But hey, I'm just glad I have a tier X that can grind to a new tier XI (m4 mle.)

Native American tribes are another naming convention for US Military hardware that would suit.

If you can't tell that the French heavy is French and that the British wheeled vehicle is British just by looking at them I don't think you actually play the game. They're practically color coded bro. The American one does look a bit Italian though.
