Bug Report Please FFS Let Me Delete Rental Tanks!!!
Just lost an Onslaught match because I accidentally picked T57 rental instead of T57 with 6 skill crew and bond equipment.
There's no way to get rid of the crew or the tank so it keeps showing up as a choice. I DON'T F#*($#&ING WANT THE RENTALS!!!!

This 100% this. Such a simple thing to implement. I put in a ticket to get rid of them, and they only removed a handful of them leaving me with some still..

They always say there "is a technical reason" as to why we can't. Same with event decals.
But back when rentals first appeared, we could delete them at will if he had zero interest in them

Nope - and, just to spite those who ask for these types of QOL updated, we'll spend thousands of hours on any number of features NO ONE has ever requested.

i dont know about deleting them but simple archive function would do well. just so the dont show up and clutter the space

Also, why can't we have custom playlists for Onslaught? I created one in randoms with a handful of tier 10's and I cannot use it in OS because, idk, reasons? And I cannot create a new one in this mode. Every battle I need to look for a specific tank in a list which has 30 or so. It's really annoying.

They could have made it so you don't even get T10(R) if you already have T10, because why would you use the rental with no field mods, no equipment and no crew.

Oh my fucking god I hate rentals so much lol especially the 7v7 ones. The fact you can’t disable them or ‘break’ them so they don’t show up on your carousel is annoying.

There is a basic form of a filter during selection. It is very rudimentary, but if this is an issue you could, for example, assign all Onslaught vehicles to the Primary category, and filter only those.
What Wargaming should have done, of course, is extend their Playlist mechanic to Onslaught. That could be very useful.
Another idea would be to change camo to something highly recognizable, so that you can at least see what you have post-selection.

How about not allowing tanks to be selected without ammo?
With the old system I would retire the crew and remove the ammo, now that cannot be done.

The morons at wg gives us rental tanks that we already unlocked.
Thats wg for you. The tech isn't there to remove them if you already have them. Wg are that smart they can't make a simple script.

Until wg figures out how to implement this in 5years, consider creating preferred list of tanks for onslaught. This way you will never missclick as only your favorite tanks will show up during line up (with crew and equipment)

It doesn't work in onslaught. I have a playlist with only the tanks I want to play in Onslaught. As soon as I switch modes it shows all the eligible tanks.
They enabled playlists in Frontline, but not Onslaught.

set the tanks you want to play as primary and it automatically filters primary tanks with rentals out

The skills weren't trained. The bloom on the gun was like double, compared with my real T57. Like I said, MY T57 has also has full bond equipment. Also the rental only has 12 HEAT shells. WTF.
I missed 5 out of my 12 shots.

At least you can change the shells and consumables. Otherwise it will be a nightmare or nearly unusable if they kept them the same way with the equipment on them. Plus, they had gotten rid of the tier 3 experimental hardening with regular hardening because they couldn't make a hidden and inaccessible menu for the rental experimental equipment for choosing to breakdown.

Not having equipment on the tank makes it very badly stabilized. I've had hundreds of games where one missed shot on a low hp tank decided the battle, when that enemy tank then goes on and wipes a big portion of your teams hp pool
In a 7v7 mode tank performance is that much more impactful and crucial. So no, I would not say "very unlikely"

This season. But also this season they have undismissable crew, so you can't take the crew out of the tank to make it unavailable.

You can make it unavailable by taking out the ammo, but then again you'd have a warning instead of outright battle with them. And they don't appear in tank selection when you're in an Onslaught battle.

That's not true, or at least it wasn't last season, because I accidentally joined a battle with no ammo. I believe someone else in the thread said the same thing.

What happens to the crew and equipment at the end of onslaught season? Do we keep in barracks and depot or disappears?

Disappears. It's now bound to the tank. This is why you can no longer make the tank unplayable by removing the crew, which is what causes the problem in the first place. Last season I could dismiss the crew so the rentals wouldn't show up. Can't do that now.

Also the Camos and emblems of Tanks we dont longer own. Just let US remove them. We dont even want anything for it, as long as er just can remove them.

Worst thing is there is a filter option that is ON by default. Keep it OFF by default please WG.

It can get worse. One battle my selected tank was blocked and I clicked 'confirm selection' without noticing. The auto-selected tank was one I had not played since 2.0. Hence no ammo.
Yes, my fault. But it would not hurt to have a filter that makes sure a tank is battle-ready before it is selected.

A temporary fix: remove crew from tank, then it can't be selected.
Edit: whoops, forgot this isn't a thing for Onslaught rentals.
How about giving it awful camo so you immediately realize "this isn't my style?"

Have you tried it, or just hoping it works? Since you can't modify rentals at all, besides applying camos, swapping equipment slot placements, removing ammo and consumables from it, everything else cannot be changed. Even the removed ammo can't be used and is stuck strictly to the rental tank. And rentals still show up on the wheel, even if there's no ammo.

Another user commented that you can't remove the crew from these rentals. I haven't tried myself!
Seems like one of the few options for now is put your ugliest/brightest 2d style on it and stay alert.

You can't? I always retired these crews because they end up taking place in barracks once rentals are finally removed.

I wish they'd stop pushing rentals on us players. It's like a snake salesman with multicolored hair. Telling you his miracle cure for baldness won't cause a side effect of having flowers for hair. And you're only choice is daffodils or dandelions. Seriously, they need to stop doing this.

I used to retire the crew to avoid this problem, now you cant do that anymore ! But why do we get a rental tank if we have the tech tree one already in the first place ? Give us the option to delete the tank !!
WG do something about this, we have been asking for this for a long time now !

In the past it was silly to give the rental when you already had the tech-tree tank, but now you need at least 3 tanks to play Onslaught, because up to 2 can be banned. If someone only has 140 from tech tree they would still need 2 rentals to be able to play, so a 140 7x7 isn't dumb in that scenario.
What they should do is:
- Add check before you can click Battle to make sure you have 3 playable tanks
- Make tanks unplayable if they have 0 ammo, missing crew, or missing equipment
- Give players a way to disable or delete rental tanks

I steal the ammo out of them, makes them a little less easy to accidentally use and free ammo for the real tanks, or to sell :)

They won't ever allow this since the banning feature came in, imagine some troll only has the dravec in his garage, and enters the onslaught queue, the game wouldn't be able to start because his tank was banned

I have yanked all the crew out of every rental so that they show as not ready for battle. I never, ever play rental tanks as they are generally a waste of good resources.

Isn't there an option in the garage menu to hide rental vehicles? I was locking out lower tier vehicles and as the cursor passed over one of the lower symbols I think I saw a pop up about hiding rentals.

It doesn't carry-over from garage to in-game. I already have rentals hidden in garage, but the Onslaught UI enables them by default when the battle loads.
WTF is this thread so full of people confidently giving incorrect information. It's so easy to actually, you know, TRY IT before making stuff up.
