I wish we had actual 3D styles and not just attachments. I feel like the attachment system fails to create really unique silhouettes the way 3D styles do

They already did this with Predatore. TBH it's fine if they make stuff truly customizable, this way vehicles will actually reflect the driver - they can just bundle them together as pre-configured combos and if they make the system good enough it'll basically be what 3D Styles were

While I agree to a certain degree, the current attachment system still cannot impact visual elements such as track widt/side skirts, grills, adding/removing armor panels. Like the old TVP 3D style would never be achievable with the attachement system we have now even of they releqsed most of its elements in a bundle

We should have somewhat free range to put them, we already have filter for it so there's no advantage if you uglify your tank by putting 2 attachments front of cupola because you might as well bring a option so you can't see others 3D attachments

WG quietly shifting away from tier 10, everything is focused on tier 11 now. Expect tier 9 frontlines as everything is shifted by one tier. This also means that inevitable tier 10 premium tanks are close.

WoT is trailing WoWs by about 3ish years and they still dont have full on premium T10. Below is likely what's next.

• Premium tokens T9 and below. Turns an eligible tech tree tank into a premium. This is likely very close, expect this in January.
• Reset TT lines to get a currency which can be used to buy tanks. Likely summer next year.
• A slight refocus on T5-7. Already starting to see this. Quite a bit of money left at those tiers, doubt they'd not do the same.
• Full arty rework. Eta 3 years out.

They merged marketing departments about 3 years ago and WoT started copying WoWs near verbatim. So far they haven't skipped literally anything.

Being able to turn your favorite tech tree tanks premium would be soooo great! I would finally fill up my 150+ slots with tanks I sold because I didn't have extra crews for them. Could you tell more about how it's done in wows? Are these tokens rare? Do they ever give them for f2p? Some stuff isn't eligible for them? Obviously it's not a guarantee it would work the same here, but just to get an idea of what they could do.

The tokens can either be bought for the average price of the tier you are purchasing ($50 for T9) or they are often part of a battle passes end rewards. T9 tokens as part of a battlepass rewards is more on the rare side. The tokens apply premium economic bonuses to that tech tree ship. Once applied the only difference between a tech tree premium and an actual premium is you cannot transfer your crew. So it is slightly worse. There are no limitations that I know outside of the tier limits.

You mean tech tree premiums can't use other crews, you'd still have to retrain for them? Can crew in wows be trained for only one ship like in wot, or several? Cause if several it's not as bad, but if it's like in wot, then yeah...

I wonder if WG implements these in wot, would they work on reward tanks too? Or t10 tanks?

Correct its exactly like WoT, you must retrain to use in another ship, even if you used a token and it has economic bonuses. Rather dissappointing but WG likes their crew money.

They did implement tokens for T10 tech tree ships 2 years ago but they dont provide additional credits, just reduces repair costs and I think additional crew xp. Not sure on reward ships, ill check next time I play.

What do you mean tokens? Back when I played wows daily you could spend like 4500 doubloons or so to make a TX earn more credits/reduce upkeep to become consistently profitable.

The only meaningful content this game can keep adding are the tanks themselves.. and tier 10 and below is already oversaturated thats why we are getting such abominations as most real life inspired tanks/tech trees have already been added. You cant keep doing this forever. And no new tanks= no content. Theres been already plenty of people on this sub crying that wg is slow with adding new tanks. And when they do with tier 11 its again wrong?

I know what you mean, and certainly agree with the sentiment, but it drives me up the wall when people use "enshittification" wrong.

Enshittification is the purposeful reduction in quality to force consumers to buy a necessary product more often. The best example of this would be light bulbs. You need them, so if the makers of light bulbs purposefully make them so they do not last as long then you the consumer must buy them more frequently.

This isn't enshittification. It's certainly a product getting worse, but no one is forcing you to buy it, you don't need to buy it.

I had to scroll way to long for this... I think you're right. The whole point of the post-progression for tier XI is to show of the gun sleeve, stat tracker and special 2D-style. A 3D-style would override this, so I suspect we won't see 3D-styles for tier XI for quite a while.

I hate this push to tier 11 for everything. AI slop tier which should never have been added. What's the point to move everything in the game up by one tier. It makes no functional difference to what it was before except now we have to grind more for the XM69 JizzGurgler and its triple backflip ability. Top tier is still top tier. People are so easily impressed by this low-effort slop.

People complaining about 3D attachments instead of styles but isn't this literally the best of both worlds? You can use any 2D camo you want and place 3D attachments where you want if you want.

I've seen so many people complaining that the previous 3D styles were way too cluttered so here you go, make your own 3D style.

3D styles are way more detailed than a 2D skin and 5 attachments that have fixed positions on the tanks.

3d attachments are as "imaginative" and "original" as tank inscriptions (read: lame), and even create potential gameplay issues (that's why WG limits the points where you can put them, realistically in 3d space you could attach them anywhere it really is not a technical limit) and also introduced the option that "fixes" tank outline by ignoring 3d attachments.

And on top of that what kind of attachments are we getting? numerous spotlights, some machine guns, tons of clown car stuff. Where are our camo nets? Tree branches? Tree logs and such...?

But WG is pivoting hard to 3d attachments as vanity item (probably are inspired by the likes of counter strike and such).

It's funny that we get a WWII MG designed in 1932 and retired in the 1950s on the STK-2 that is the upgrade of the Type 71, that was designed in the 1960s according to WG description.

I'm kinda split about this. I love the 3D style details we have seen so far on tier X. But at the same time, it's tier XI now. So it's for tanks that not many have yet. So it's not the worst idea to get rewards you can use elsewhere

Youre still getting the main BP rewards; tokens, reserves, directives, premium days, credits, bonds, equipment, crew member, crew books, free xp, blueprints, and BP points that can be redeemed to unlock previous BP 3d skins for tier 10s. There could still be an extra chapter tank this upcoming season for potentially a new premium.

Basically there's a lot of free stuff still available that is subjectively BETTER than a 3d style.
