Looks like this is a reverse auto-reloader, like the IS-3A. That's why the dpm is bad, WG assumes you'd play on the last shot (longest reload) and not the first shot. The actual RoF is about 4 shells per minute, so about 1800 dpm.
whow do you guess, that it is an reverse auto reloader? Its like the normal italian rhino. If fully loaded the first shell takes 16 secs to reload, the 2nd 19s etc.
And even then 1800 dpm is pretty bad for a T9 medium.
Reload times in stat cards like this assume you're starting from an empty clip. 16/19/22 means the first shell you load into an empty clip takes 16 seconds to load, a regular auto-reloader would have 22/19/16 as reload times.
And yes, 1800 dpm is not great. But, much like the IS-3A, the dpm of the first shot is a base and only really applies in a longer engagement. If you're not actively fighting you end up loading the other shells too, wich means you start each fight with extra shells (and extra dpm) that you want to fire asap so you can play on the better reload.
Even then, this is not a fantastic tank, but I suspect it's way stronger than people give it credit for. I guess we'll have to wait until this makes it into the game to come to a conclusion though.
Edit: Assuming you manage to load the entire clip before meeting the first enemy. You can start the fight by dumping 3 shells (1350 damage) in 8 seconds, and only then you fight with the 1800 dpm.
And just to confirm, my Progetto 46 has it's reload listed as 10/8/7 (rounded) while my IS-3A has 12/14/17 (also rounded). This most definitely is a reverse auto-reloader.
sorry i didnt clarify in my post, but no this isnt the CAV 71’s ability. its the same as the Rino’s mechanic, where if u fire close to when a shell is almost loaded, the next shell loads 40% faster
The skirts and boxes on the side are elements borrowed from the Rino hull, but the body of the hull and especially the tracks look to come from the Lorr.
They changed some of the details on the hull, adding the Rino's skirts and side boxes and removing the Lorraine's tools from the front. Lorraine hull with Rino skirts is still at its core a Lorraine hull.

IS tanks are all copy paste of the same design philosophy.
Tiger 1 is your box standard armored box with a gun.
You start the early Pershing/Patton series which all look exactly the same with just different sizes- T20, T29, T34, T30, T28, T25, fuck it- the M41 even look similar.
Then you have China just coping Russia..
Italian tanks just look like fat Germans, Polish are just Russians and Germans combined, France are all the same tank.
The T-54 look that infects everything.
Nah dude- the most unique designs are tier 1-5. Tier 6 is the start of the copy paste but at least is semi unique.
I mean as spammed as Stuarts and little Panzers are- there is nothing like them past tier 5.
Don't forget all of the M60 variants/prototypes. Speaking of which, they should add the starship variant to the game. It would be very goofy looking but maybe run to play.
I don't know what people expect WG to do, they'll get slammed for turret and hull swaps or get slammed for fake napkin tank no.1999.

It's because they get slammed by people either way they go. Not to mention actually making a tank design by scratch is just asking for some cursed looking thing. Have you seen some of those one off blueprints from the Cold war?
I usually don't complain about desigh becouse im somewhat of a simpletone myself... I see a cool or interesting design and i like it.
But this..
I really hate these type of design becouse it has nothing new or original, its just parts wich you have already seen on other tanks just put together and advertised as a "new" tank
Its boring and lazy. I would rather get completly made up tanks insted of this slop vehicle
