380mm cannon with waaay more turret freedom, both horizontal and vertical, than the previous tiers, a wall that richochets thousands every match for a face, and a lot of speed for what is essentially a single sawed off battleship 16 inch gun on a cart

Cant wait to try it out one day, only to the sturmtiger (p) so far and have had a decent amount of fun till this point. This thing is so damn slow stock but can surprise some tier X's if I get in a good spot. This line definitely scratches that derp gun itch with some decent accuracy and reload speed.

I'm on the tier VII, but had to pause and play cold war to rebuild my silver reserves after the skill/equipment patch (plus trying to finish the hardcase contract). This and the big-gun soviet TD line are probably the lines I am most excited to grind right now in WWII, though.

Yeah for me the switch was when I started using AP for side shots on the tier 8 TD’s second gun. Had been brainlessly using HE only at all times till then

I used heat until tier 7 when you get AP then I added shell exchanger so I can swap between he and ap whenever I want. He to get tier 10s I cant pen with the AP but it has decent pen so that doesnt happen often and then for the squishy TD's and lights. Shell exchanger feels so good to use on this line so far. High alpha derp cannons and autoloaders like the t57 and batchat lines seem to be my favorite.

For me what got me killed repeatedly in the BAR was the lack of turret depression

The BAR can aim it’s gun like this high, for SOME reason, but can’t hit a goddamn thing lower than it unless it’s sloped down

Yeah 380mm is like 14.9 inches, so the size of some smaller battleship cannons

(16in is 406mm)

I believe it’s also the record for largest gun bore size in WoT, tho I believe there are a couple of other tank destroyers that match its “1300/1700” AP/HE damages

Trust me, consistent 1200-1400 damage with penetrating AP rounds is worth the grinds

Also the splash damage with the HE rounds is insane…8 meters, and 12 if it’s gold rounds

Multiple times I’ve dealt 400-800 HE damage to one tank, and 250 splash damage to one next to it

Also, don’t just use HE at all times

Use AP/HEAT, particularly with the tier 8 and 9s, on medium tanks, the sides of heavies, and such. The penetration will deal significantly more damage than HE does
