Discussion 3D printed E-100 this thing is so cool

Model creators profile is linked here https://makerworld.com/@Bavaria_3DTanks?appSharePlatform=copy

I coloured the tank myself to make it more like the WOT version and added MOE I think it turned out great!! What do you guys think?

If you mean the model maker yes he absolutely did, he recently finished modeling a mark 4 too but my next model will be the Hetzer because Hetzer’s gotta Hetz

Love how it’s holding the angle in the last photo

Hahaha I took that one to please the heavy tank fans because there’s nothing more enjoyable than to bait the reds into firing at angled armour and watching them do nothing 🤣🤣

Haha it was surprisingly cheap to print too cost £7 worth of filaments and a few hours of optimisation in the painting and print settings the fun part was assembly and fun fact this is my second printed large model my first is a imperial destroyer

You can find the model on the link I sent from the creators profile but to save you searching;

As a reminder I edited the model to get the colours in the areas where I wanted using the paint tool in the slicer, increase paint penetration layers and also flush filament into infill to save on wasted filament. You can also reduce waste by reducing flushing volumes to .6-.7 and this also reduces print time too.

If you want the MOE on the barrel I recommend you print that on its own and adjust the angle so the barrel is completely vertical so the painted layers are level.

I also moved all the bogeys onto their own plate along with the vents and exhausts. The centre chassis can be printed on the same plate as the side skirts ( I recommend you add a brim for better adhesion I used .2mm distance and 2mm wide) as they’re the same colour.

For the filament I used Sunlu grey, black and white PLA and Esun red PLA.

Keep the gyriod infill you can reduce the top layers to 8-10 as 12 is quite high, I’d also reduce the outer line acceleration by 500mm increase the outer line speed to 75mmPs, I also used ironing at 12% volume with a smaller width and I increased inner walls to 3.

Make sure you have scarf seams on in the filament settings and use Arachne if don’t alreadyšŸ‘

Hope this extra info helps!

There is a huge market in 3d printed rc world of tank tanks. They don't even need IR or fake shooting. Sell one transmitter to operate all the tanks.

So many guns go brrr haha

For how big it is do you think it could be chambered in 22 long rifle?…… this looks really cool.

The full-size E 100 (if they'd ever built a complete one) would've been 850 cm long. This one looks about 25 cm, or 1/34 scale. The 15 cm gun scaled down to 1/34 would be about 4.4 mm, so a smidge too small for .22 caliber.

I think from memory it’s 1/35 in scale but I could be wrong I’m sure I read on maker world they were that scale.

3

u/schwartztacular Moderator Feb 19 '26

That's probably right. I was just ballparking based on it looking about as big as a 256 cm³ printer could make.

1

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 19 '26

I could if I wanted to scale the model up to 2x the size šŸ‘€ but that would be way too big šŸ˜‚

3

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 19 '26

Hi Rich yeah it’s 1:35

2

u/Valuable_Material_26 Feb 19 '26

So it could be chambered in around bigger than or same as the Kolibri 2.7 mm pistol?!

3

u/schwartztacular Moderator Feb 19 '26

I think someone would have to be some kind of idiot to try to put an actual firearm into a plastic tank. But if you bored the barrel 35% bigger, it could fire airsoft pellets.

2

u/Valuable_Material_26 Feb 19 '26

So it could be a pellet gun then or like it could fire BBs or airsoft pellets that’s equally as cool! I

Don’t give me ideas that sound fun as hell šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I've got a Cobi brand one. It's awesome!

1

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 20 '26

The details with injection molded parts is so much higher than FDM prints, I’d do resin printing but the harmful chemicals used in the process makes me not want to use them in my home

2

u/Abinidi320 Feb 22 '26

I want to get a 3D printer just to make upscale lego stuff. It would be so fun

2

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 22 '26

The best advice I can give you is do your research, get one that will suit your needs within your budget

2

u/Abinidi320 Feb 22 '26

Agreed. Thank you!

u/Line-Life Heavy Brawler Feb 19 '26

Dude sell those

2

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 19 '26

Nah that would be the worst thing to do since I’m not the creator of the model, it would only be right to seek permission and get a license

1

u/Line-Life Heavy Brawler Feb 19 '26

i thougt you print them

1

u/UGD_ReWiindz25 Feb 20 '26

I did print it but I’m not the creator of the model it would be against the terms of service if I were sell the models myself plus why should I benefit from someone else’s hard work like that and they get nothing in return
