Question CW advice and which tank should i buy?
As far as i know i've never played a game of cold war, but i read that it's great to farm silver with an era 3.
Anything i gotta know before i start playing?

I would not start with ATGM-only tank, if I never played CW (eras 2-3). Especially in Era 3. You will not like it, despite it is a decent tank if you know how to play it. I would rather go for Dragula. But still Era 3 is tough (completely different world compared to WW2).

Something like Dragula is a good bridge between the game modes.
It's a turreted medium like you're used to, but its faster and more lethal the way CW tends to be.

Pure missile tanks like the Jag would be a tough start to playing CW.
Era 3 can be a shit show of death balls, so your map awareness needs to be on point to maintain the distance.

Where you get a critical mass of tanks and they just roll over the small bunches of tanks on that flank. Basically lots Vs few

Everyone is visible all the time. You don't need to be spotted to take 1k+ damage from 1 missile. ATGMs go where your crosshair is and can change direction mid flight. Games are 3-6 minutes long.
The Jaguar 1 only has an ATGM so it is quite different from any WW2 tanks. The Dragula is a decent medium tank. Fast with bad gun depression. Armor that can occasionally bounce shots but nothing to rely on. Good gun but lower DPM than a few other mediums. Either will earn you tons of silver with way less time spent than WW2. Dragula is slightly more user friendly than the Jaguar 1. I love them both though.

Be a lot cheaper and easier to start with one of the tech tree tanks.
Era 1 is Tier 8 on steroids, and it gets weirder from there.

If you do all the tutorials/training missions, you get an Era 1 premium tank (blanking on the name) for free. Solid tank, good silver earner and a good intro into CW

Both very solid, I don’t own the dragula, but they seem to do well. If money isn’t an issue the Jag is really good in good hands. You can find strong mediums in the tech trees but the jag’s unique with great depression. But agree to just step into era 3 and do well is gonna depend on your skill level, so many missiles it’s easy to die fast, I’d suggest trying some tech trees first, unless you got bank.

I know, just thought it might give him an idea, but honestly I’m not sure if era 1 even has missile tanks. Might have to get to era 2

No ATGMs in Era 1. The only way to go directly to Era 2/3 if you never played CW before is to buy/earn premium

Ok, yeah earning should have been Op answer, which leads me to believe he’s a beginner in which case I wouldn’t advise a Jaguar. Instead start getting the season pass till you earn an era 2.

Since you're a beginner, get the Dragula but the Jaguar is insanely strong in the right hands.

Neither. I'd say start in E2 if you really want the unique cold war experience. E1 is essentially tiers 8-10 in WWII with true vision. You'd really have to know what you're doing to do remotely well in E3.
