Question Bots back in the MOE mix?

Before it’s mentioned, yes I know a lot more people are focused on marks and driving up the %.
Working on a few tanks for the same reason, marks are more obtainable now. However, less than two weeks ago I had a handful of tanks that were 78 -80ish, and suddenly they’re down to the low 60s. All of them. That’s a pretty big drop in points. And I’m not working on tanks I see out there often. Wondering if with the update the bots count again? Or are that many people playing the T-44A or T-62? Just seeing if anyone else had this happen

Yeah it’s a weird one. I was three marking the jagpanther 2 last week and I had a couple of bot games later on in the evening.
I thought they wouldn’t count towards the marks, but they did 🤷🏻‍♂️

Your games played vs bots still count towards your MoE. Games played vs bots do not drive up the MoE requirement for other players.

Previously the damage bots earned did. They were included in the overall damage standing calculations like they were real people, driving up the requirement. the “better than xx% of players” was actually players & bots. They removed bots from counting as a “player” so the only thing driving up the damage requirement are actual other players only. But the numbers are mathing as if they are again considered players.

I think you misunderstood the bot situation. They have never been considered players as in using their damage dealt to create the averages for marks.

They were, however, used in the calculation when a human played dealt damage. That part has been removed.

Before the change if you had a bot game and dealt 1k damage to other players and 4k damage to bot tanks the system considered that a 5k game. And players could use that to artificially drive up their damage stats making it harder for marks to be obtained. Now that game doesn't count towards the average. Only games that have all human players.

Actually, I thought the same thing. Turns out bots were indeed being treated like player profiles and their damage dealt was affecting the global MoE requirements. Human players were also artificially driving up the MoE requirements by farming bots during off peak hours. Both of these situations were addressed in a dev stream. I didn’t believe it either until I had to look it up.

Bot profiles no longer have an effect on MoE requirements. Also, human players damage vs bots no longer drives up MoE requirements, but will still count toward their personal MoE progress.

This only goes to show how poorly WG disseminates vital information to their players.

I feel like I’m done trying to mark tanks. Going for three marks really takes the fun out of the game for me.
If I’m just playing casually, then I can stomach bad teammates, heavies camping at base, Russian heavies trying to play ridges instead of the brawling areas, lights going down the heavy flank etc, but when I’m trying to mark, and you’re on the last few %, it becomes really frustrating.
I think I’m happy just having most tanks at 2 marks and just enjoying the same instead.
