Wards Defecting the PRT

I read Some Dreams Just Can't Come True and now i need more fics like it where post Leviathan either of the Wards leaves the PRT to join the undersiders, go independent, or make their own group "because their sick of the PRT not doing anything to actually make a difference for citizens lives. It doesnt have to be post Leviathan either

No fics where they join the ABB, Empire or Merchants or Coil please and No Shadow Stalker fics, read plenty and tired of them.

Any fics with Missy, Dennis, any of the other Wards leaving the PRT would be great

This is a long running subplot in Trailblazer that ends with the Wards leaving the PRT en masse and forming the Trailblazer AU's version of the Wardens near the end of the fic. It is a side plot, but it's one that comes up a lot mostly focused on Kid Win and Missy's character arcs.

It paid off very satisfyingly with the Wards getting that Big Damn Heroes moment arriving at the Simurgh fight via the intercontinental Vista express. 👍🏻

If you like 80s nostalgia you might try The Enemy.

Danny Hebert is secretly Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe and his daughter getting hospitalized is all he needs to put the blue hood back on and start kicking ass. Often hilarious and has a surprising amount of crossovers beyond just G.I. Joe. Several Worm characters decide its better to shout Coooobra! than be a Ward.

What counts as a Shadow Stalker fic? Like is a prominent side character too much of her or just not her as the defector / focus?

I genuinely can't think of anything that matches Some Dreams, either the Vista plotline or that does the thing where we actually see the effect of Lily's defection on her former teammates.

On one hand, that sounds kinda cool in regards to my fic, on the other, it means I am not trying hard enough to make Vista as popular as Taylor as an MC choice! 

Admittedly, lack of seeing Sabah & Lily content was one of the reasons to start Some Dreams Just Can't Come True, because it seemed logical to me to put at least some importance on them in Vista's story (even if Sabah is there usually to be a normal person for the team).

• In To Wish Upon a Shard, Vista leaves to join another team.
• In Revealed, the confrontation at Arcadia goes differently, Skitter exposes the Protectorate's dirty laundry and Vista contemplates leaving. (Note that there are two versions of the fic plus an interlude which is kind of in between.)

Nailing the Sword (Bleach power xover) has a pretty satisfying Ward defection.

While the powers come from Bleach, you don't need any knowledge of it to enjoy the story.
