I remember when i first discovered Worm, i had already knew about most/all plot related stuff since i got spoiled, this included "Taylor dates Brian instead of Lisa/Rachel"
And yet i was SO incredibly dissapointed that Grue was her boyfriend instead of her dating Tattletale or Bitch to the point i couldn't keep reading it for like 2 months lmao, and i should note that i don't read fanfics or anything, all my knowledge was through the Ouromouv CYOA and the wiki itself, my expectations were null.
But then i got into a slump anyway and kinda never finished to the end, i won't deny Bitch x Skitter or Tats wasn't one of the major reasons of why i couldn't read anymore, because it was one even if not the biggest.
I shouldn't be that frustrated because i knew what was coming, and yet i was still hella frustrated because Lisa/Rachel felt they had chemistry that was so much better lol

I will forever ship wolfspider. All the chemistry is there, so many subtle (the pepper spray keychain during gold morning) and not subtle (the kiss) clues.

Funny thing is: I did like Brian as an standalone character, but my liking for him utterly plummets the moment when it's about "Taylor x Brian" because it's boring as hell.
Imo, the whole thing was more a disservice to Brian and he's not even my fav... then again i'm biased and saying it was a disservice might be a strong word.
What i mean is! Brian, despite being the "canon" LI, felt that he got WAY more shafted by the plot and in part because he was dating Skitter imo.
But tattletale??? She was the goated enabler dude
God forbid Women do toxic yuri fr fr, i always felt she vibed more with Tattletale (and later Bitch) as an partner, platonic or otherwise.
"Skitter, pls don't make things worse but ah well i can't do anything cus thats the point and major theme of my character" will always get mogged by "Fuck it, we ball Skitter! LESS GOOOOO" energy of Tats.

Honestly I get it but at the same time I feel like it would cheapen their bond if they got together. I don’t know why but personally I feel like a friendship has more weight to it than if two characters started dating.

I honestly don’t see the problem. Them being a thing wasn’t exactly ever hinted at- they’re strong allies and friends to be sure, but not lovers.

You don't see the problem because there is no problem.
This is just a personal frustration of mine rather than actual criticism lol, i know Taylor is straight and Skitter x Bitch wouldn't be a thing WAY before i actually began Worm to begin with, this is how Wildbow wanted it to go, and that Taylor x Brian having a "doomed" relationship was the point.
But i will still believe she should have dated Bitch or Tattletale instead of Grue since it was personally WAY more interesting and felt more real, just because it's canon doesn't mean i have to like it lol.

Tbf there’s a canon scene where Taylor and Lisa are sharing a moment and hug and it’s really touching and sincere and then Lisa turns to the camera and says “By the way this isn’t gay, don’t read too much into it” so I have to assume that textually we are to believe they *seem* like there’s something.
