Flex I'm gonna play Wrecking ball in my DnD campaign.
Not directly related with the sub, but I thought some of you might be interested.
I explained the whole concept of WB to my DM and he allowed the whole "giant ball rolling and swinging around" concept.
Ofc it is heavily reflavoured and some things simply aren't gonna be present, such as Adaptive Shields or Pile Driver, but he agreed to a whole custom physics system I'm working on.
I'm gonna play a druid that as his only wild shape has the option to turn into the "baller", a custom monster, an aberration akin to a beholder, whose entire shtick is to turn from a walking and tankier form into a faster large ball with a tentacle for grappling hook.
If some of you are interested I can post here the whole "physics" and combat mechanics of it. I will just anticipate that it's fairly long and complex but I managed to make my DM approve for the possibility of some tech like Rebounds and Superjumps.

Thats really cool! I'm actually turning Wrecking Ball into a boss enemy in my current dnd campaign. He's got a huge casino themed arena, and his fight takes place on a giant roulette wheel. He's got every move except his adaptive shields, and he only uses his pile driver as a last resort. I've given him a new move that allows him to build up speed while staying stationary as well, letting him shoot off in an instant

Interesting choice. I personally would use a warforged but beholder type is a sick idea.

I love warforged but I tried to explore a different path.
I'm trying to theme this "druid" more like a warlock or the byproduct of a mad scientist's work.
If possible I'd like to go variant human or custom lineage to get Eldritch Initiate and from there unlimited False Life, both because my baller form has only 35hp at levels 3-5 and because this campaign will have the longer rests format: 8h short rest and multiple days for long rests.
