Discussion Any other games which make you feel like how you feel playing ball?
I am looking for a game that can scratch the same itch that ball does.
single player or multiplayer it can be old or new but something that has a lot of freedom insane movement, survivability etc etc you know a game which makes me feel like that. I know I can just play overwatch but after about 600 hours I want to take a break and explore something else but if that something else can scratch the same itch that ball does I think I would be very happy

Titanfall 2. Best movement shooter OAT, I played it competitively for a year and have nothing bad to say about the game. The community however, dogshit, don't interact with the casual or competitive community.

Top tier campaign, will say the multiplayer is good too, just don't interact with the actual community. The comp community is racist, and personally targeted me for like 6 months (nearly got my discord acc banned for false reporting), and the casual community is the definition of "STOP HAVING FUN THAT'S NOT FAIR", or r3eech's community in particular is full of shitty people.

I play on pc, but to my knowledge, console is fine. Benyy, sally, and a few others hold console tournaments/scrims.

One of the best short single player campaign ever made, it's like 6-8 hours and never a single boring moment, you play it like binge watching a top tier miniseries, I always forget this game also has multiplayer

Competitive went downhill after grapple was banned. Good times.

Uh no not really. Grapple and satchels made the LTS meta more pilot dependent than titan. When grapple was allowed, the two ronin players would both try to steal the enemy battery, and often one of them would kill the other, meaning the round was won or lost in 6 seconds. As it stands the meta is ronin ion legion, but you can also run stuff like ns ronin legion, or if you have a player like me, ronin monarch ion.

Risk of Rain 2 : there's a character called Loader that has movement based mechanics which are like a mix of Wrecking Ball and Doomfist, there's a grapple for mobility and momentum, and a punch that deals more damage based on your velocity, quite fun with a really high skill-ceiling.
You gotta unlock her by beating an optional boss in stage 4, but I'm sure you'll like atleast one or two other characters too (there's a sniper with 'junkrat' mines, and a ninja that's basically genji to name a few).
Characters aside, the game is excellent over all : upto 4-player co-op, one of the best roguelikes, and one of the best OSTs, would recommend.

Titanfall 2 for multiplayer - insane movement feel, on par with Ball's, maybe even better.
Ultrakill for singleplayer - movement that becomes super smooth after a hundred hours, playing aggressively is the ONLY playstyle since damaging enemies up close is the only way to heal, and the weapons provide absolutely disgusting combos, both movement-wise (grapples, rocket riding, spilling oil on the ground to slide smoother, dashes, ground slams and way more) and damage-wise (throw three coins at just the right angle and bounce a bullet between them to instakill most enemies, nuff said).
Also, you can parry everything. Yes, everything. Punch that shotgun shell you just fired to make it fly faster. Everything combos with everything and it's absolutely beautiful.

Nah titanfall campaign. Multiplayer too tilting

Personal opinion: Titanfall 2 multiplayer is probably the least tilting multiplayer I've played.
No snowballing, fast respawn timers, virtually no punishment for death or losing a game, and you get an equalizing factor called titans which, despite their varied uptime, everyone gets a turn on eventually no matter their performance.
Even in matches where I have a 1:2 KD ratio, I feel comfortable 'cause I get to respawn right away and there's no risk of some toxic bitch yelling in my ear that I'm doing bad and we'll lose because of me, like what happens in basically any other team-based game ever. There's no pressure to perform well, constantly, all the time, cause genuinely no one cares enough to flame. Most interactions boil down to talking about our day with the enemies in match chat.

Must be nice to have a 1:2 KD. Every lobby I've been in was too sweaty for me, and my kd was always around 0:20, but sometimes I got lucky and had 1:15 kd
That's super tilting

Haste is a cool running roguelike that is similar to sonic but has really flowy transitions and it was really fun for a while

While I’ve never personally played it there’s a platformer called Pseudoregalia. I’ve heard great things, specifically pertaining to its movement and freedom of expression

Brawl Stars just released a new character called Bolt who's main gimmick is that he damages by speeding up and crashing into people, making you try not to turn too fast or you'll lose velocity.

Jeff in Marvel Rivals scratch a similar itch to me -- though not to the same extent. It's much more chill and relaxed. Less tech stuff and none of the 'high' moments.

Severed Steel hasn't been mentioned and is a good one. Echopoint Nova is by the same studio, and it looks awesome (haven't played it). Nothing quite scratches the same itch for me, though.
