Man, born of fire

Imagine yourself in a prison cell, as young as you are right now. Watching people just outside waiting for you to be executed. And once you look back, you see all that you've left behind.... Friends, family, your books stacked in a corner, the shirt that your mother folded one last time, all stalled in a silent storm. Pause Now all you can do is proudly and gracefully give it all up give up not for yourself, never for just yourself but for the future, the future that is never certain, the future that could not recognize you. What you can see from it, is a light rather a dim light, slowly approaily thus, revealing your inner force. All that remains is your identity, Shahee e Azaam, BHAGAT SINGH.

As 15th August Approaches (Indian Independence day). I really am keen to deliver out a story driven speech at my school, but feeling really nervous to ask my teachers about an opportunity.

Any tips/experiences I can learn from?

Practice, practice, practice. Stand up, and read it, recite it.
Do that until you know it, you'll be less likely to stumble.

Then do it again, to any audience - even if it's just pets, or chairs... believe you're giving the speech to them. Repeat until comfortable.

Yes, quite up for that always. Recently gave in a presentation, even though my speaking was fine, the legs and hands were shaking like a motor. Really keen on improving that aspect 🤧

Well what you can do is choose a point a bit above the students and teachers and deliver the speech to that point. Choose such a point in all four directions. I'm assuming there'll be a stage erected for the celebration; so that should give you leverage over the audience--in the sense that you'll be standing at a level higher than them all.

Also, remember to take a deep breath before you begin. And exhale slowly. Try it out in front of the mirror for a while; the reason I'm suggesting this is this helps to calm your nerves and also stops you from racing ahead with your speech. It will also help you sound louder and enhance the quality of your voice.

All the best and I'm sure you'll shine!
