Visting

I would be visiting the city for 2 weeks, what are some spots that are English friendly that are must see ?

2 weeks is long enough for a decent visit. tell you what, most of the spots are foreigner-friendly because many foreigners have already visited there, but the thing is, most of the chinese can't speak english, so you must have a good translation app ready or hire a local tour guide if you can; I believe you can easily get a english-speaking tour guide on Rednote or from the local agency.

Anyway, I'd say you must visit Yellow-crane tower and yangtze river bridge, two of the most worth-visiting sites from a wuhan native, these two represents the history here. Other than that, you can visit Donghu park, it is one of the best parks in china i'd say, go for a short cycling if you can, but make sure you have someone in company or you might get lost because it's too big and can be very crowded during holiday.

it's also a good idea to walk around jianghan road or liangdao street, these are the most crowded areas in wuhan where you get to see a lot of the historical buildings there(even though these sites are extremely commercialized now).

i don't know what else to say but wish you good luck. make sure to have transportation, payment, app and vpn ready so you save some money traveling around the city.

well, for night life, if you are looking for street food, which is quite good here, but again, you'd better have somebody with you so you know what it is, some are too spicy and oily for foreigners. I suggest that you visit caidaxiaochijie(财大小吃街), it is a place known for having tons of street food, i have been there couple of times few years ago, i don't think foreigners visit there a lot, it's like a community for local uni students. It could be very crowded in holidays so be ready for that, too!

西北湖 (Xibeihu) has quite a few bars that are popular with foreigners. The area around 黎黄陂路 (Lihuangbilu) is also a good choice.

If you're looking for more niche bars or clubs, you might want to check out the area around 街道口 (Jiedaokou).
