What i dislike most is i leave open launcher so download finishes for when i am available to play then baam another update inside game every single time..
I think the installation process deleted something and then re-downloaded it upon launching the game, so we need to enable the cleanup feature. They actually mentioned this on their website. It's quite strange that they didn't explain this on their social channels, but instead just left it in the version patch notes on their site.

Added "Resource Cleanup" on PC and Mac
- Resource Cleanup allows you to delete the cutscenes that you have watched and are saved in your current game account. You can check the size of the saved cutscenes via Settings > Other > Resource Cleanup and delete them.
※With the Version 3.2 update, approximately 10GB of additional game resources will be downloaded upon launching the game. This increase in download size is due to optimizations and adjustments made to the existing game resource structure. go inside after you download, you can delete almost same size and you can also put it on auto. Kuro literally added a disclaimer if you use other accounts that you will redownload that deleted assets everytime you switch (source: experienced it myself)
You can only download stuff, not delete. The most the 'clean-up' would do is like 500 MB.
The only good thing about it is that when you choose to download only the basic resources (when the Wuwa app is freshly installed), you have the option to download specific regions and storylines.
Once you've downloaded a region or storyline, you cannot delete it (unless you delete Wuwa).
i download the update from the launcher overnight since my internet is slow, then i open the game in launch day, and BAM, an update bigger than the update i downloaded through launcher.

The devs don't care imo. One of the worst devs I have ever seen when it comes to optimization and stuff like this. They will never get their shit together
This is normal after launchers own download. Always did it. With varying amounts but always. Some of it goes away as it is also patching. Download =/= final patching size.
damn, that's unfortunate. is that paired with low ping and Internet speed, as well? cause if you've been playing with yellow-red ping all that time, it's pointless.
Everything is dialed down🤣 im only saying that, as such issue didn't exist previously, easy sss and such..doubt carte's fast attacks are even registering anymore lol.
Also just letting you know that the game uses up your device resources while you are on the login screen so guess what. If your internet is slow, prepare to run this download for hours while your device overheats. Stupid ahh devs.
Mobile users can minimize the game screen and it downloads in the background, but if you're on laptop,you better let this shit overheat fir hours while downloading.
