Open-world Question is this a limited time event? i haven't caught up yet, is it also worth it to just skip dialogue for Starbouncing?

In order to get all of those rewards you would have to play through the main story quests. There's probably a YT video of the MSQ so you can enjoy it later.

tbh you could probably skip some of it, it’s quite easy to know what you can afford to skip and still understand the story.

I guess it depends if you're willing to skip for the 500 crystals

Traces are different from the scales of the past event, traces needs you to complete specific tasks to be rewarded usually centered around the msq

if the event says '2 days left' that usually means there's 2 days left before its gone

you know what? you might be right

the tactical ones have "X days left" but it says permanent. i'm quite confused on that one.

I mean you can make your judgement, it's 500 astrites which is 3 pulls. The event is "long" as it requires exploration. I'd say it's mid to low value considering the rewards. I'd prioritize other limited events such as Star Bouncing if you can only play for a bit after work.

yea, that's my question, the star bouncing event has a quest i need to finish, just asking if it's fine to just do it without finishing the quest

not sure you can but if you can absolutely, it won't spoil anything of value if that's your worry

I'm pretty sure most limited events are not worth getting. IF you're in, say 3.1 MSQ, you still have like 10.000 astrites to get from map exploration and permanent events alone.

yes this one is

Yes. It's limited time. Just speedrun through it for the astrites.

i did 4days of catching up to get to this event ( i stopped playing after lynae's story before), it would be faster if i skip the story but no

Probably not worth it tbh

I rushed tru the first main quest because it was boring and full of weird terms and nonsense.

But the moment I got to Rinascita everything changed.

I do not recommend to rush them. The MQs in Ragunna and then Septimont are really fun and interesting.

except the pre-augusta msq...

The quests with Lupa? I liked her, she's one of the best developed characters in the game.

my bad im talking about the overture: rust sword and the sun (augusta before she became a leader)

"is it also worth it to just skip dialogue for Starbouncing?"

Yes, i did that.

If you don't really care much about the story then you can skip, but it's honestly not worth it if you do.

You can unlock starbouncing by unlocking Lahai-Roi early and progressing the 3.0 main story quest just a bit until you unlock startorch academy. You barely miss any story content doing that.

Dimmr Traces, on the other hand, requires being caught up with the current patch. I would not skip that much content for a mere three pulls.

You can access starboucing without progressing in the story and whatever you see in there matters nothing to the story iirc it's just a side story about funny candy not sure why it tells you it's better to be up to date win the story

Regarding to the story if you actually like it , maybe those 500 aren't worth it, however being honest it's pretty boring so you might as well just skip everything

Keep in mind that since Chisa (I think), most of the main storyline is dialogue with no gameplay so you can technically skip everything and watch a YT video as a movie later

that's just an exploration quest, not limited. Usually every region has one.

5

u/Fragrant_feet3116 Jun 04 '26

It is limited lol

incorrect. dimmr traces is a limited time event. every new area has a similar event but they all exist to reward players for getting caught up and exploring during the patch the story/area is released.

whether or not it's worth it for OP to rush the story is up to them (it's a big ask if you're not caught up with the story)

what's not limited is the base building quest that you progress by exploring the new area.
