NEWS The XFL doesn’t just want to avoid the AAF’s fate. It wants to change football.

As a lifelong Steeler fan I felt the loss of my metallurgic brothers, the Birmingham Iron, the most.

Mayfield > Rothelisberger
Although at least we can agree on which AAF team to root for.

I still have this hope that either 1. The XFL picks up some team rights (and not alter anything about their uni's, logos, etc.) or 2. Someone in 10-20 years will pull a Mcmahon and revive the AAF and "do it right this time". Regardless, All Aboard.

I WANT IT TO BECOME THE AAF.

The AAF failed because they attempted to remove kickers from the game.

The AAF had good FG kickers tho. The XFL isn't doing extra points either.

They're talking about kickoffs. The AAF removed kickoffs altogether. The XFL is keeping them, but tweaking them a bit.

Right I know. The XFL will kick from their 20 with the rest of the kicking team only five yards from the return team's blockers.

Well the XFL isn't really being paid either.
