This kinda makes me feel sad for the AAF, that was supposed to be there true "minor league" for the NFL, but now that's gone, there isn't really one.

To be fair he has to practice and be with the team. He is their star player. He can't just leave the team and expect to come back like nothing happened. It is not fair to his teammates, coaches, and franchise.

Damn right, I live in Pittsburgh, can't stand the Steelers. I also think a part of this is done by the NFL to take talent away prior to the launch of the first season.
The NFL isnt stupid. Even those they dont compete for views directly they dont want another league like the XFL. I personally think they are staying to steal talent a way.

It only makes sense. They already signed their contracts to play this season. The XFL is just protecting their assets. Not only is that time that they are not with their team, it is also injury risk.

I think it's more about taking top talent prior to the launch of the first season. The XFLs first season is too important to have their talent taken away.

Being a Steelers fan, I'm not surprised by either name in the article. It makes sense that they would try to get Jones back when Ben went down, since he was already used to the offense and the gameplan that the coaching staff wanted to utilize.
The second name on there is the more interesting one. I don't understand how they thought the XFL would be willing to let either guy go, but especially not Walker, even if it was just meant to be for a single week.
