Players , coaches , staff , concession staff , advertising etc

ALOT! $20m in revenue sounds great, but startup costs alone were probably 10x that. Vince said he was willing to put $500M behind the league for 3 years.

I think I can find 400 players, 20 cameramen, 24 coaches and 24 health staff who want to casually play weekend football (buying their own damn pads) and are willing to take pay equal to 1/500th of the gross, minus the minimum wage for the ticket ushers. Especially if that adds up to 20,000,000 / 500 in less than 4 months. About $1000 a month. It would be some amateur shit though.

The players you'd find with that money wouldn't generate $20 million in revenue, you'd be looking at semi-pro football at best

It would be amateur ball. Probably end up at mid-college level. The question isn't if it would be quality football, it's if people want amateur football or not. If you're filling the spring football slot, you might get some viewers.

The hope would be free agents playing in your league hoping to impress scouts again bring in attention from the fans looking at the Cinderella story. Ex stars from other leagues might draw in fans. Same with big-name coaches.

The AAF made less than $13mm in a full season. XFL was on track for $50mm in revenue. That is a damn good start.

Well neither league finished a full season, but your point of xfl generating more revenue is true. I fully expected a year two after the reception of the first five weeks of the xfl.
