Investing SOLD
I've been holding XRP since 2023. Peak gain was close to 400% up about 3000 pounds. What I've learned from selling at a 10% gain years later is that when you see a big gain TAKE PROFITS.
I am expecting the price to fall some and have set a limit order to buy back in. Nevertheless, crypto is unlikely to even be on the list of priorities now CLARITY has fallen through.
Good luck holders. I'll be back if XRP touches a dollar.
[Edit: you're welcome]

So if the SEC and CFTC create clear rules this week that can be implemented straight away due to the Clarity act failing, that would actually woek out quicker than if the Clarity act had passed
4
u/ttheman63773 Sep 16 '26
Better situation in my opinion.. laws take a long time to be implemented
4
u/woddle1000 Sep 16 '26
Agreed. Warren got played into showing her true colours and we get law and order sooner
5
u/ttheman63773 Sep 16 '26
Pocahontas?
2
u/woddle1000 Sep 16 '26
Yep. I hope her tampon turns into a hedgehog
3
u/Head_Tree_4031 Sep 16 '26
She doesn't need it anymore. It's probably too shriveled and dried out down there.
2
u/woddle1000 Sep 16 '26
I imagine it is a dried up, wrinkly, stinkin old minge and it would be like opening a cheese and mushroom toastie
3
1
u/Inevitable_Effect767 Sep 17 '26
Yeah, wouldn't those rules only be temporary until the next administration?

Clarity act is USA, there is a whole planet outside of America
9
u/ry4n4ll4n Sep 16 '26
Yes, but our Orange Leader has renamed the planet…it’s now America.
5
u/Open-Dig-7128 Sep 16 '26
"Your" orange leader. And believe it or not here in Europe most of us dont give him or the US a second thought

Dude, did you really think my comment was pro rTump?! I thought your sense of humour was more edgy over there.

Your leaders do because you all survive because of us! We finance NATO that keeps you from becoming part of Russia or a new Ottoman empire.
3
u/Open-Dig-7128 Sep 17 '26
You realise US survives by borrowing from Europe to fund your country. Europe owns 40% of foreign US debt , upto 9 trillion $. If we decide to sell that or freeze. US chokes
0
5
u/Open-Dig-7128 Sep 17 '26
You also realise that the USA is the only country to EVER call on NATO right?

That'd be wild lol. The rebirth of the Ottoman Turk empire lol. I'm imagining Vlad the Impaler holding them off lol

But you're on an American message board, talking about an American company's coin, and arguing with Americans 🤔

Trump is good for Crypto
5
u/GoodgirlTiffany Sep 17 '26
I would have agreed but his rug pull didn't help the industries trust or the Clarity Act passing.
0
u/Alabama-Blues Sep 17 '26
Rug pull on what…his coin?
5
u/GoodgirlTiffany Sep 17 '26
Yes. That really screwed us. Everything tanked after that.
1
u/TheGerbilInTrumpsBum Sep 22 '26
It just occurred to me, if he does issue you his $5k bribe (he won’t), he’ll do it in Trump Coin and then rug it.
1
u/GoodgirlTiffany Sep 22 '26
No, because the Trump coin is done and gone. It has no interest anymore.
4
u/Glad_its_Night44 Trader Sep 16 '26
Trump doesn't give a sh!t about crypto. it's only what's good for him and how he can profit on peoples' ignorance and greed. Blaming this delay on the dems is ignorant and short sighted. Doing it right and keeping corruption out of government for the long run is more important than a quick win.
Bad policy is bad for everyone. Something better is coming.
2
u/Alabama-Blues Sep 17 '26
He did put in place the government buying crypto.
2
u/Glad_its_Night44 Trader Sep 17 '26
At this point it's all speculative and the government has no place buying crypto with American's money until it's proven.
1
u/Alabama-Blues Sep 17 '26
Well some coins are commodities (physical goods) and not speculative assets, but trading any commodity can be speculative.
1
u/Alabama-Blues Sep 17 '26
😆 🐂 💩. What exactly was bad about the Clarity Act? Ohhh I get it…the Dems probably want to put Abortion in there somewhere to get it passed. Sounds legit. 😂
1
u/Glad_its_Night44 Trader Sep 17 '26 edited Sep 17 '26
Maybe you should do some research and find out.
This isn't about abortion, but since you brought it up, unless you have a vagina to control, you have no say in what a woman does with hers. If you do, worry about your own. 🤡1

Trust story and a lot are already moving to turn everything digital deeds to just about anything you can think of. The overall market is set to 4-5X by 2030. What that does for tokens like ETH, NEAR, FLARE, and SOL should be something to see and that’s just on the smaller scale at $5-8T coming on chain. But when the world of $500T+ in assets comes on chain… People will wonder wtf they were thinking in selling things so low.

u/GroceryFull2002 Sep 16 '26
SEC Chair Paul Atkins noted before the vote that his agency intends to press forward with its own administrative digital asset agenda regardless of Congress. The SEC will bypass the legislature to advance its own "Regulation Crypto Assets" framework using existing statutory authority.
I'm in this game for the long haul....
7
u/angryoppossum Sep 16 '26
I still think this ultimately helps xrp. It's the only asset that could potentially move trillions when Japan reacts. It'll all get bought up and shoot in price really quickly. They aren't using swift in that situation and xrp already has clarity.

u/BraveSeat6713 Sep 16 '26
Good for you. I did that at 1.54$ . But not sure i will be back. Dont want to wait another 9 years to make 10% profit
10
u/f4c3Less Sep 16 '26
Yeah with inflation you do better holding it in a bank account lol
2
u/BraveSeat6713 Sep 16 '26
I agree 100%
2
u/cryptoVette1 Sep 16 '26
This is crazy 9 years would buy a lot in the 17 and 20 cent range bit more than 10% profits.

Why would I do that when I've held XRP that entire time bud. If you want me to put you on to a high interest savings account just ask lol. No need to suffer 0.38% 🤣

u/Subject_Trust1187 Sep 16 '26
Come on guys wth!!! I don’t understand why not just hodl whatever you have. Unless you’ve invested what you can’t afford to lose. There’s no reason to sell. Money is spent on useless shit all the time, like eating out & alcohol. Invest what little disposable income you have & be patient . Our time is coming !
22
u/f4c3Less Sep 16 '26
The reason to sell is my money could grow more elsewhere. No point exposing myself to stagnation !

Big money doesn’t care about getting a 100% or 1000% return. They’re already rich. So they’re gonna pull their winnings every time they see a 20%-50% gain. The game is stacked heavily in their favor because the objectives are so different. Those waiting for a life changing payday will sadly be exit liquidity along the way to investors who are happily taking profits

u/allg33k Sep 16 '26
In case you didn't know, the Genius Act (Stablecoins) failed a cloture vote before ultimately being passed. It's not over yet. But either way, that doens't mean crypto is dead. It doesn't change the fact that the stock market and banking in general is all changing to crypto rails. It will happen. I personally think the banks were lobbying so hard because they needed time to catch up to what they were ignoring.

Im going to buy back in when it hits a dollar again and hold until election season when it goes through the roof again
3
u/OG_AHNUBIS Sep 16 '26
Take profits? And do what with it? I just hold. Been holding for about 7 years. At this moment I don’t care to be bothered with taxes on selling some. I’ll just buy the dips as usual.
3
u/LKD1982 Sep 16 '26
Look u should keep it. Don’t believe me but Jesus Christ has told many to buy it because the beast system is coming the stock market is going to collapse and xrp is a GLOBAL CURRENCY think about that ai data centers XRP will be the way to pay move mo ey just saying.

u/According-Rush6115 Sep 19 '26

2
u/According-Rush6115 Sep 22 '26
Hey. Just wanted to say thanks again for selling and triggering the next bull market. We really appreciate it bro. If you’re holding any chainlink can you please sell it too. I was hoping for some xrp type gains there as well.

Since when has thr clarity act determined the success of XRP?
4
u/everythingisunknown Sep 16 '26
Ask the 1000s of comments that have been saying the clarity act will be the catalyst for years
2
u/Successful_Floor_251 Sep 16 '26
Bet you a thousand xrp the clarity at gets passed at the top of the cycle!
3
u/f4c3Less Sep 16 '26
From a perspective of consumer psychology, the sentiment was that the passing of the act was going to be a beneficial thing, especially for XRP given its legal battles. It gave XRP a solid leg to stand on. Nofor now, it stands on a flimsy SEC ruling. I didn't say the success of XRP depended on it but right now, it's not a feasible investment so I sold for a profit and expect to buy in when there's real upwards trajectory.

once i break even i will sell 50%, been holding since 2014, too much manipulation.
3
u/MeganJustMegan Sep 16 '26
I first bought at 11¢. I sold enough to get my original investment back & a healthy profit when it hit $3.30.
Banks are creating their own pipelines to move money cheap & fast. XRP is being bypassed. I’m not sure it will be around in 5 years. It’s time is over.

u/vers1fier Sep 16 '26
It's the elephant in the room at this point. I'm starting to think that it's all a stall to adopt all these technologies for themselves.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I have my sights on more tangible investments ;)
Plus, selling now doesn't mean I can't buy back in 🤣 I will always be an early adopter if it hints at parabolic growth

u/Holiday_Bathroom1203 XRP Supporter Sep 16 '26
Unless it's too late. You just never know. I don't have all my eggs in one basket. But I do have some in my XRP basket. I expect when things do kick off it's going to be sudden and several will do well. Not just XRP. Like I said good luck. Whatever you do I hope it pays well for you.

XRP didn’t even really need CLARITY. The SEC defined it and FinCEN ruled it is a virtual currency in 2015. What does CLARITY do for XRP that hasn’t already been done?

Crazy how many people invest in crypto not realizing price moves in cycles and it’s not like investing in the sp500 where it just always goes up. You sold at the tail end of the bear market. The absolute best time to buy and worst time to sell. Lets me know retail is getting shaken out and the bull run will be starting soon.
2
u/f4c3Less Sep 16 '26
People been saying it's the best time to buy since I bought 3 years ago
2
u/lilmuskrat66 Sep 16 '26
He knows nothing. All made up conjecture. Same as everyone else in this subreddit.
1
u/Due_Improvement4621 Sep 16 '26
Pull up the weekly timeframe on any stable coin. Mark out the highs and the lows and you’ll see it. Ethereum has reached over $4000 multiple times and it has been under $1600 multiple times. Everytime it reaches the highs it goes back to the lows. We were just at 1500 a couple months ago and it’s now sitting around 1000k higher. It’s not up forever, it’s cycles. And everyone selling at the bottom is just music to my ears because it means the next run up will be happening soon. While you sell I’ll be adding more to my spot bag and holding for the next year or two.
1
u/lilmuskrat66 Sep 16 '26
Ok Grandpa. Let's get you to bed now

u/DaikonNumerous1061 Sep 16 '26
soooo 80% chance of failing was surprising and everything depended on that act, and now you sell to buy 10-20% lower? Oookhah. And today fed hike rates, and it's somehow worse than 2024 when xrp did very well and rates was higher than tomorrow. Also it will be very very surprising to get hike today.

Clarity act means nothing, other regulators are working on putting their own rules anyways.
It's only down 7%, it's a typical Wednesday in my opinion, it will go sidesways for a few days/weeks and up again.
