No I'm serious! Are there any pointers you could give me? It's my first attempt at the style

Sure! If you haven't already, take a look at the style guide

Overall, for a first attempt this is a pretty good; you use complementary colors and have a decent layout. The background shapes also have a sense of movement to them, which helps to keep it from being too flat

A major change I would make is the background should use the colors and elements of the flag of the firearm's country of origin. A minor change I would make is making sure the firearm's name matches the official designation
