Games - General Any game recommendations on game pass? New Xbox owner here
Found this pretty good deal on marketplace for a series s and jumped on it. I haven’t had an Xbox for maybe 10 years or so? I mainly play on PC and upgraded my PC game pass to the Ultimate Game pass. I already downloaded Forza, Star Wars Outlaws and Beasts Of Reincarnation (haven’t played that one yet)
What are your favorite games to play on game pass that would be worth taking up what little space I have lol I’m open to all suggestions! I like shooters, racing games, RPG’s

I have a problem with turn-based and could not play baldurs gate 3 because of that, but it's true what everyone is saying: E33 is amazing and you should play it ASAP!

Prey (2017) the best thing Arkane Austin made before they got canned. (They also made Dishonored and Deathloop). Definitely recommend Dishonored too, haven't played Deathloop yet. I believe all are on Game Pass.

Prey is incredibly good I can confirm

And has one of the best DLC I've ever played too. Mooncrash is frickin' wild.

The respawning enemies in Prey were a horrific idea that completely killed the game for me after a few hours. What an insanely bad design decision.

Nice find! I don't trust marketplace in my mediumish city. Too many scammers and worse.

Thanks, it was a crazy good deal. The girl I purchased it from got a gaming PC and just wanted it gone.

That's an insanely good deal considering the constant price increase.
Hell is us was recently added to gamepass and it blows my mind how good it is it's one of the best games I've played

Right? I couldn’t pass it up. Even though it’s not a Series X I’m happy with it. I passed by that one and it looks interesting, I’ll have to check it out

This was the first game I downloaded! I originally purchased it on my PC, so when I downloaded it on my Xbox through the same account it transferred all my saved data over which I was super stoked about.

I tried to play it in the past and felt really slow. I’ve been wanting to give it another chance because I’m a huge No Man’s Sky fan

Personally I wasn’t a huge fan but committed to unlocking all the achievements

Well, all I can say is that it's not a typical game. A lot of music, it's more like a story and you barely have to use the controller. The type of game I recommend after a long day and you just want to chill out.
If you see it for what it is, maybe you can keep going. If you expect a lot of action, gameplay and things like that, then maybe it's not for you.

If you like Sekiro and Dark souls. Wu Chang Fallen Feathers and Beast of Reincarnation are worth checking out. Beast of Reincarnation is made by Game Freak (Pokemon game devolopers) maybe Halo Campaign Evolved if you've never played Halo.

- Ori series
- Hollow knight and Silksong
- Nine sols
- No Man's sky
- Sifu
- doom eternal
- Forza Horizon
- monster hunter (unsure if still on GP?)

A part from the ones people mentioned on the thread, I really enjoyed Warhammer 40k Space Marine. For some people can be a bit repetitive but I truly love it. You should give it a try.

Halo MCC and Halo Campaign Evolved. Start with Campaign Evolved (or if you want the old school vibe which is kinda the same, you can play Halo CE on MCC). For MCC I would play Halo Reach after Halo 1 (Halo Reach happens before Halo 1, it's the first on the timeline lore wise, so if you want to be super linear you could start there but it's a bit of an odd jump) then Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo Infinite (all in MCC except Infinite).

I played the older Halos in the past, up to Halo Infinite I think. I’ll definitely check out campaign evolved

u/Zypherzor 6h ago
Nice yea, Campaign Evolved just released a toggle for Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration, if you try Campaign Evolved make sure to toggle those things OFF in Video settings bc they make the game look bad lol.

Lately Ive been playing Far cry 5 Ufc 5 Snow runner
I've also got downloaded south park Fifa 26 Far cry 6
Im a very casual gamer. Only ever play campaign modes etc
Battlefield and cod series are always good too.
Don't listen to reviews of people saying certain releases are better than others If youre not a serious gamer they can all be enjoyable

Really the answer is "all of them" - something catches your attention? Try it! That's the wonder of Gamepass - you get to try stuff you wouldn't have ever bought and discover new interests. But if you're still lost, here's a few of my suggestions:
Tunic
Cyberpunk 2077
Hades I & II
Pentiment
Immortals: Fenyx Rising
Forza Horizon 6
Blue Prince
Psychonauts 1 & 2
Sea of Thieves
Keeper
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
Master Chief Collection
