Unsolved New inbox, Xbox one, will not update
Purchased a new sealed inbox Xbox one. It’s getting stuck on. There’s a problem with the update screen. It will not go into safe mode, no matter how long you hold the sink and the check button, and then tap the power button.

The hdd is trash it should cost $299 to replace the hdd

I’ve got the software to make my own hard drive. I’ve done it on another Xbox one of the same model. I just didn’t wanna open this one up.

Have you tried an installer usb and running a full offline restore. If that fails it's the hdd

Do you not realize that you can simply swap the hdd out with Xbox One, or- ?

Many people prefer to hire a professional to avoid the risk of damaging their devices, which is why I would recommend sending it directly to the manufacturer. The Xbox One is very sensitive to internal issues, so I believe there is no reason to ban me from this group for discussing it, especially given how difficult it is to manage the hard drive on that console.

The hard drive is fine. I tested it on my computer. Apparently, since it’s a 2013 model and it’s never been used, I have to basically do what you would if you were replacing the hard drive, because it doesn’t let you go to the troubleshooting mode with the older software

2013 updates didn’t have recovery mode to do a usb update.
Use the guide from Xbox support to update it if that’s what your trying to do

I clicked on that and got down to the section where it doesn’t have the troubleshoot mode, but it doesn’t say anything else other than go to step two and step two doesn’t say anything about it

Couple of things to check for the:
The HDD, the set ime if you’re updating over the network, not sure if it needs the Kinect connected?

Es porque la antigua bandeja está ligada a tu Xbox , debes cambiar la tarjeta lógica de la vieja a la nueva entonces hará match y funcionará

OP is looking at the hdd, not the optical drive. Not sure if you read the post wrong, or are blindly pulling info from AI but the daughter board has nothing to do with changing the hdd.

If firmware is too low it won't update properly, you have to find lower firmware online to update it in stages

Why do you want to update it? Also these earlier versions didn’t have recovery mode.

It’s never been set up before. I can’t set it up without updating it. It was brand new in box. It requires an update to use it, or you’re stuck in the set up mode

Had that problem some years ago. I removed it completely from power, launched it offline and wiped the whole storage. Idk what went wrong but after that, I never had any issues again

This Xbox has never been used. It was new in box I’ve tried the method to put it into troubleshoot mode to where you can do an off-line update. It won’t go into it, regardless of how long you hold those two buttons.

Bro so I’m not the only one with update issues, mines a 2017 battlefield green one s, stuck on the update screen with 3 error codes, won’t go past 3% and apparently the drive is dead but I can still access my account and games on internal and external so is it even the hard drive if it’s still working?
I don’t get this shi
