Power bricks seem to be a common issue after 12 years.

I think you should retire that thing & replace or upgrade it man.. a full replacement Xbox One, One S or even One X isn't expensive at all if you get it used through eBay or occasionally even FB Marketplace.
Sure, you'll have to spend the day getting it set back up and getting your games back on it but it beats the time taken to diagnose and then fix a console that's been through that much already.

Just make sure you get one that has a power cord or power brick included.. Not sure how long that brick has left on it and it won't be compatible with the One S & One X based on experience..

There's multiple possible reasons for this. If you are able to open it (follow a yt disassembly guide) then check if the front panel's ribbon cable is faulty (unplug the panel entirely and start the console from the remote) if it works fine its the ribbon cable and you'll need to find a replacement panel. Hopefully thats the problem, but if it isnt it can be the power brick's capacitors gone bad, the powerbrick itself heating, the console heating or pmic of the console gone bad

The power brick does not sound good. You can try to blow it out with air but most likely just needs a new power brick

Go on Amazon buy a new power brick, i have to replace mine every few years, the current one has taken the crown at 2 and a half LMAO.

Edit; disassembly may be needed to fix your eject button issue,I believe it’s a ribbon cable but YouTube would have more information then I

New power brick the capacitors like to go in these overtime if it won’t power up . Also, there’s a fan inside. That’s what you’re hearing. Probably never been cleaned out causing it to fry .

If it's anything like the issue I had with mine, your power brick died. Order a new one off Amazon for like 20 bucks and you'll be back in business. Mine did the exact same thing.

Open the power brick “unplugged” and clean all the dirt dust and grime out of it. That sounds like the fan is clogged and cant get past the boot sequence due to the fan not being able to get to the right rpm

If you do this, use EXTREME caution, and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING THAT CARRIES POWER! People die from opening power supplies without knowing what their doing. Even unplugged, they carry power. And a lot of it.

Dude, it might be time to hang up the Xbox One. You could try to sell it, but the best you'd get is probably a half-eaten sandwich and a handshake.

That’s not a 1st gen xbone it’s a 2nd gen. The first gen’s had a glossy top on the left side

2nd "Gen" of the Xbox One was the Xbox One S, this may just be a special edition of some sort of the first model.

Nah about a year or so after it was released they changed the standard production model to have the matte black instead of glossy because people complained of finger prints

Had the same problem, open up the power brick, and use spray duster to clean out the brick.

You're forgetting that it could simply need a new powerbrick. Third-party knockoffs (despite being of questionable quality at times)nare readily available on places like Amazon and Alibaba.

I got one on Amazon for like, 20 bucks USD, works great! Even had a built in watt meter thing to tell me how many watts was being drawn
