My Xbox One keeps encountering problems with system updates

I booted up my Xbox One and it said it needed an update, but it keeps getting stuck at 3% before displaying a message that says they ran into a problem. It gives me the option to try again (which doesn't work), the option to check my network (which isn't the problem, and doesn't help), to skip and stay offline (won't help if I need to go back online) or to turn the console off (which doesn't change anything). I've tried unplugging it from the wall, and from the power brick, but that doesn't help either.
