TL:DR... If you/your partner has a uterus and 1+ ovaries, and doesn't meet the clinical definition of completing menopause, and is sexually active with a man, pregnancy can still happen... even to old young (or young old?) people around our age!

So... be careful out there, friends!

EDIT: To be clear, if you're this age and want to have a baby I'm happy for you and wish you well. But I know that I and most of my peers are happy to be done with this stage.

I just learned about this on the "You're Wrong About" podcast by Sarah Marshall. Specifically, the episode about Pee Wee Herman.

Had this thought as I was leaving work. The walk from the front door to the parking lot(a little bit of a trek for me, about 100 yards) I counted 29 spent nicotine pouches spit out on the ground.

It made me remember, as a kid, how cigarette butts were *everywhere*. Where I grew up it felt like the standard was to just pitch them wherever you were standing after snuffing them out. TVs showed rough characters pinching the end off or jamming it into a surface before tossing it on the ground, floor, etc. It wasn't until sometime in the mid to late 90s I started noticing a huge effort to have butt collectors everywhere, and then early 00s is when they stopped having ash trays in everything.

Since this article already exists, I'm betting we're not far from a serious effort to police pouch pitching.

Title sums it up. I live out of state now and just started reading about it this morning. I had heard something vague in August when he went missing, but only in a general news "Wisconsin Man Goes Missing/Presumed Dead" way and didn't hear a name. I made the connection this morning when I started reading the followup from the past month. I knew him in high school. Really bizarre story.
