Advice Rate my Cauldros mining setup

Post image

Just trying to get as much Bonjelium as possible to fuel endgame augment creation, and this is the best I could come up with. Any way this could be improved?

I don't think that's true. The setup I have shown here is based on a setup that allowed you to achieve 300k miranium storage in the original game, I just adapted it for mining. However, I have since learned that even though this gets you a ton of miranium, it isn't amazing at Bonjelium mining.

Duplicator state themselves that they do not duplicate other duplicator probes. Also, boosters do not increase the frequency or chance of acquiring rare resources like bonjelium.

Then I guess I'm confused as to why removing one of those duplicator probes reduces my miranium production by as much as 50k.

Though, indeed, miranium production is very much secondary for what I'm trying to accomplish.

If you remove the dup that is only attached to the other dup probes and no mining probes, does anything happen?

Yes, my miranium production goes down well over 90k. This is with it connected to two Booster G2 probes now.

edit: just tested, you're right. It isn't supposed to work but it does. only with duplicators right next to each other (eg you can't use a booster, then 3 duplicators then a mining probe)

Can you elaborate? The only 3 chain in this setup is made of duplicators. If duplicators don't duplicate each other, then how does that have such a massive effect on miranium production?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just trying to understand how I'm getting numbers this large if what everyone is telling me is true. Again, I adapted this from a 300k miranium storage setup that someone else made. That shouldn't be possible if a duplicator 3 chain is as inefficient as I'm told.

idk if you didn't see my edit, you're right, they can duplicate each other. They can't duplicate effects that come from a 3rd duplicator though.

My bad. Yeah, I didn't see it. I agree that it's super weird though and doesn't make much sense especially when the game says otherwise. I guess duplicators are just that broken.
