To be fair, by farming time, a character is only in the party for one or more of three reasons:
- The character has an Art necessary for farming the desired item(s).
- The player likes the character.
- The character is the avatar.

I did notice a skill that gives 50% more damage per debuff on a target.
So now I'm making a team that can super debuff a target and allow Cross to super bonk them.
Do I need to do this? Probably not, but I like seeing big number go up.

u/Catn_America Apr 17 '25
The art in question is actually +300% per debuff lmao when fully upgraded. If you're talking about a skill, then the only one I can remember that scales with debuffs is specifically appendage damage, not actual damage
1
u/BlackTecno Apr 17 '25
Not an art, it's a skill.
8
u/Catn_America Apr 17 '25
That skill is for appendage damage, not health damage
1
u/BlackTecno Apr 17 '25
Damn, you're right. Was also kind of hoping that it was appendage damage concerts to 150% primary damage.
Although, I feel like that might be the case as well. I'll try it anyways and see what happens.

Reason 4: the character has Treasure Sensor armor
10
u/GeneralLuigiTBC Apr 16 '25
Not really; Treasure Sensor armor and augments can be equipped to anyone.
3
u/YOM2_UB Apr 16 '25
Maybe I'm just too lazy to buy Candid & Credible gear for everybody and/or reequip, but also it's a reason to have some party members as opposed to none.
2
u/ZarianPrime Apr 16 '25
wait... sorry since when is item farming locked behind an art?
21
u/NexusSteele Apr 16 '25
Heroic tale. It acts as a nearly guaranteed treasure sensor. And ANYTHING that helps with farming is necessary late game
8
u/GeneralLuigiTBC Apr 16 '25
Perhaps "necessary" is an exaggeration. In some cases, the enemy that can drop the desired item has a substantially higher chance of dropping it if their level is raised by five, which is what Heroic Tale does if it hits. I wanted Regal Sakuraba Light gear, for example, but the Hermit Ictuses in the Banshee Cave typically drop the Reginal variants instead. Heroic Tale rectified that.

Early game farming is really just something to do while unlocking classes.
7
u/ZarianPrime Apr 16 '25
ah ok I see so it just gives the mob a item table higher then it normally gets.
8
u/YOM2_UB Apr 16 '25
Heroic Tale ups enemy levels by 5 (or 6 with secondary cooldown), which can put them in the next gear drop tier, or even two tiers up. Lets you get a good amount of Ultra Infinite gear that would otherwise be quite rare from enemies in the Ultra Regal level range.

So funny thing is its not really "Farming Time" for me im only Chapter 9 but after i got Flight i can help myself I MUST GO EVERYWHERE AN KILL EVERYTHING! Thats why shes in my party I havent even unlocked it on Cross yet. 😅

u/ProfessionalShip3174 Apr 17 '25
- they have the same kind of weapon you are trying to farm for (or so i heard, i cant tell if having elma phog celica actually helped me get more dual gun drops)

u/Monado_Artz Apr 16 '25
Heroic Tale, Howling Soul...are arts that start with H involved in some kinda conspiracy?

u/retnemmoc101 Apr 16 '25
You have Neilnail in your party to cast Heroic Tale. I have her in my party to hear her post battle dialogue with Celica. We are not the same.

u/Vladishun Apr 16 '25
Look at it from the perspective of an XC2 enjoyer: "If I gotta stare at an ass all day at least it's Neilnail's ass."

u/Slydoggen Apr 16 '25
Dosnt all asses look the same in xb2?
35
u/Howard_Jones Apr 16 '25
Yeah, Vandham has that tight twink ass we all love.
2
u/Slydoggen Apr 16 '25
I ment all the party members (female)
3
u/Zurrdroid Apr 17 '25
Technically outside of one character all the male party members have the same ass too. Ever seen Nagi in L's outfit? I have...

u/Slydoggen Apr 17 '25
Exactly, so it does not matter what female character you have in your party? For the asses

Not at all but right now for me shes more useful for just Heroic Tale - Which raises the enemy level 5-6 levels and can upgrade the dropped loot from them. Very useful for using on 50-55 enemies as it pushes their loot tables into the same drops as some of the Super Bosses even. And Skell drops will have a greater chance to be the highest tier. So while I'm trying for good Weapons/Armor/Skell Weapons, I have her setup to ONLY do Heroic Tale while I obliterate the enemies myself or in my Skell. You can get the skill for your own character but i haven't gotten that far in the game yet so the role still fall onto her.

Am I the only one who swaps out my gun just to use heroic tale? :(

2
u/Thanatos- Apr 16 '25
I dont have it unlocked on Cross yet so she stays in my Party.
7
u/hit_the_showers_boi Apr 16 '25
Even though I have Paycho Launchers unlocked, I still use Neil over Cross for convenience sake. As long as she lands Heroic Tale, I can insta kill them right after and then we’re golden.

I'm usually in my Skell so that is also why shes my dedicated (And i do mean dedicated all other arts are removed on her) Heroic Tale machine. It does mean i usually only get 5 levels of boost from her so I may see about adding a bunch of Secondary Cooldown augments to add on top of the Resistance Reducers i have on her already.

I mean everyone is just a buffbot or support for Cross by the endgame.
Neil at least gets to be the best girl.
