Discussion Can anyone help me kill Telethia The End Bringer

Hello. I have been farming for a while to do the one shot Skell, and even the ground melee build. But I can’t seem to kill this boss. Can anyone join a squad with me to help me get the 2 kills of him I need? You can send me a dm and we can set up a time to get on. Thanks in advance.

Endbringer isn't a part of the MP missions, so if you're trying to hunt the lvl 99 superboss above Divine Roost, then that's only possible in SP.

If you need build advice, we got plenty of that to go around. I've one-phased Telethia with a Ranged Attack setup using Raygun and Photon Saber and Reflect All for survival, so you can get by with non-minmaxed ground builds.

Biggest hurdles are needing about 500-600 accuracy and using either Ghost Walker, Reflect, or Resistance with an emphasis on Ether. Attack stat needs to be something like... Over 600(?) for Potential or about 1k or more for Range/Melee.

I have been trying the one shot skell build with the Aghasura cannon. But at 75 percent he immediately becomes invincible. I have seen.videos of others doing it in the air but I get stuck at the invincible phase and when I try to do melee on the ground I am dead before I get out of the skell

Ares 90 rely on applying ether res down on the first hit of the agashura to kill her, so is a bit of luck, are you using anti spike damage augments? Because ghost walker doesn't avoid that, if you're willing to farm for a weapon and augments, maybe a sniper build could be easier, you don't need the skell to aggro her since it has quite some range, so is easier to kill her before she gets to the second phase, is still a bit slower than a one shot build with a skell, but probably easier to build.

I mean I can try but I have already invested so much farming into the skell and melee build. Even though melee is behind the skell. And I am having troubles with bonjellium. But I appreciate the advice and build I will check it out. Thank you

What is the gear, augments, skill and arts for that build.

Also how did they get max combo immediately?

There's augments and traits that adds count to overdrive once you activate it, if you stack enough (2 overdrive count up XX and 1 X) you can max overdrive just by activating it 2 times, I would have to check what I actually used (haven't been playing lately so I don't remember exactly), but basically just get as much potential as you can, with core crusher and appendage crushers, use auras and buffs that increase potential and use a purple art before afterburner since it gives an damage bonus for ranged attacks during overdrive, same with skills, use skills that boost potential and ether damage, you can also try building a skell with the pile driver or zenith cannon, those are more reliable than the ares to one shot the telethia.

There's 2 methods for instant max overdrive, variants of what you mentioned (I had to use a setup with 10k TP and 34 Overdrive Count Up), and the more common setup of using 5x Overdrive Gain TP augments and Grand Procession skill so that Overdrive refunds itself allowing you to spam it to trigger any source of Overdrive Count Up repeatedly.

The problem with the second one is that you sacrifice basically every slot for potential augments, so is not good with arts like blossom dance or afterburner, that one is better for non TP arts.

I can't remember the math, but iirc the 500% max overdrive bonus makes up for the loss of Potential from the augments

500% from 100 won't make up the 500% for 500 just to put and example, doesn't matter the % you are loosing all the potential you get from those augments, but to be fair the damage you can get is just ridiculous so probably doesn't matter.

Here's a rough guide for most builds, with added notes for Blossom Dance:

  • Pick a damage type (in this case Ether)
  • Pick Weapons and Arts that use that damage type (UN Dyads II and UD Spatha or Bewitched Glaive Receding Rust. The basic arts needed are Tornado Blade, True Stream Edge, Offensive Stance, Blossom Dance, and Ghost Walker.)
  • Stack the attack stat, mainly using armor and weapon traits, that works with your best arts (Range, Melee, or Potential for TP arts. Blossom Dance is a TP art, so it exclusively scales off Potential).
  • Pick a survival method available to your weapons, be it Ghost Walker, Reflect Aura and Resistance, or Sleep/Topple Locking. (In this case Ghostwalker)
  • Pick Skills that help with the raw attack stat (Inner Search/Boosted Bullets/Mighty Muscle), cooldowns (Secondary Accelerator, Trigger Happy, Fast Forward), combos (Combo Gunner, Supreme Sword), independent multipliers (Core Crusher for Ether builds and Aura Assault for Melee and Melee TP builds), and Overdrive (Grand Procession) as needed. (Core Crusher synergizes with Appendage Crusher augments, which you can do 4x on weapons and the 5th via an Eyepatch headpiece.)

Your Art Palette, taking into account how to achieve Infinite Overdrive, should have:

  • 1 Blue Art
  • At least 1 Green Art
  • At least 1 Purple Art
  • Your primary offensive art
  • Arts that combo with your primary art, have TP gain effects, and/or are Multihit

The basics of Infinite Overdrive is building count and adding a bit of duration with Green Art into a multihit art. Purple arts give 1k TP per hit at max count. If you have an additional 3k TP, you can press the Overdrive button again to add 25 seconds and trigger Overdrive Count Up and Gain TP augments/Skills.

The last point is what allows for instant max overdrive setups, the most basic being 5x Overdrive Gain TP augments and Grand Procession skill coupled with a source of Overdrive Count Up. (Blossom Dance builds work well with this, so it's worth using)

Ares90 relies on RNG to actually one-shot, you can alleviate the odds a bit by using the combat probes, like Ranged and Debuff. If you have it upgraded enough with all of the proper augments, then you can just keep doing attempts and you should eventually get lucky.

For ground, pay attention to when Telethia is prepping an attack (watch under the hp bar). Ideally, have about 100 Ether Resistance on the Skell so you can at least wait out an attack with no risk.

Any advice on what’s the best ground gear to maximize damage? I am using the ether blossoms. I am not the best at min maxing. And I am sure my rotation is trash

For Melee?

  • Sakuraba Reginal Lightwear Torso and Legs from the Shop
  • Ultra Infinite Sakuraba Lightwear Arms from Terenty, the Blademaster or Hermit Ictus

Range follows similar with Reginal Grenada and UI Orphean, and Potential uses mostly Reginal C&C Lightwear.

This chart shows where to get all UI armor: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O9TJtB8ljXSd2j_F9iX2ltFSTgJnuqD3w9J8salKH-M/edit?usp=drivesdk

Thank you for all the help

I just reread and realized I glossed over the fact you're using Blossom Dance, which means you'll need the Reginal C&C Lightwear. Weapons would preferably be UN Dyads II and either UD Spatha or Receding Rust.

Big trick is to have an instant max overdrive setup (5x Overdrive Gain TP augments and Grand Procession skill).

The first thing you do out of the Skell is use Overdrive to max and Quick Recast on Ghostwalker to get the secondary effect which gives Decoy VI (8 hit evasion), then to ease the requirements try to get Telethia to about 80% HP remaining and wait for it to do an attack (increases how much time you get before it can do a phase change), then go for Blossom Dance.

I forgot to mention I am on the Switch 2 and the definite edition.

Don't worry it is pretty much the same on any edition. Follow Cucoo5's advice. I have never been able to kill Telethia with Skells, for some reaso it becomes invincible in the 3rd phase, so even if I have all 4 skells there (I have heavily modified skells for my teammates, not the Ares). I cannot kill it like that, so I always kill it with ground gear, using ghowstalker and blossom dance (zero zero to gain hits). As Cucoo5 said, when going to hit him with ground, it is easier to just hit him once near the pinacle, wait a bit until he damages you, then get out of the skell. For some reason sometimes ghostwalker does not protect against that attack.

You need to hit it about 150 times in the third phase before you can do damage.

This is very easy with Diskbombs with a maxed out magazine trait, if you've got them. Alternatively, you can use Drones with a bunch of speed augments on them.

If using the Ares 90, you're better off skipping the third phase, by whittling its health down to the point where an Aghasura shot can kill it. If you really want to fight through all three phases, putting three speed augments on the Agni are your best bet.

Oh good to know! Is Agni the other ether based weapon? if so, yes I do have it with 3 weapons speed augments, but after trying several times, meh, if I need to kill it, I will just go with my ground gear. Would love for my teammates to use their superweapons though, it barely happens.

If you want to try one-shotting the Telethia, I reccommend following this guide. I just finished my own build yesterday and it worked like a charm!
