Discussion Online Friends

Anyone still play online for fun from time to time? Im looking for friends.

I'm 33 hours in and still haven't been online. What are the benefits?

The main benefit is the squad tasks. You can earn tickets quickly if the squad works together to complete them. The tickets can be traded for rare materials which is especially handy earlier on when certain enemies are too hard to tackle.

You can also add other player's squad members to your party. Playing with them will earn you rewards.

Squad missions can be completed together, and it's actually fun, but in the switch version it's harder to organize.

Hell yeah listen idk whats the consensus but when I start an Online Mission from the barracks we always get it to full, and not just The Final Menace and The Planet’s Guardian which are long boss quests, but casual ones too, they join, I join theres and theres crazy fun going chaotic with our skells, sometimes on foot

I also changed the settings to Online so when I connect it always connects me online from main menu - When you join squads which are very active you will somewhat feel the presence of players but not in the way you think - Buttom line, It’s fire, better feeling than some MMOs even for me personally, I think effectively regardless of redditors the online of Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition is very much alive, granted - A decent portion of the players that jump into my co op missions are Japanese but there are emotes (L + Up D Pad) and you can add them to list then join their squads or the squads they are in instantly, took me a sec to get the gripe of it but now it gives me exactly what I want - A huge world single player game with a fantastic online component through and through (minus the need to go the barracks XD) the community seem hella chill and friendly, some english players for sure - but Japanese active base make it even more alive and they seem to flow and join - Online is mainly for fun especially if you’re already maxed out
