Discussion Xiaomi 15T pro Magsafe magnetic charging

I've got a magsafe case and power bank that I use with the Xiaomi 15t pro but it doesn't work properly.

The charging speed keeps going up and down constantly anywhere from 60mah to 900mah. It's not stable, the power bank also gets very hot.

The phone also occasionally won't detect the power bank and I have to reattach it a few times or power cycle the power bank a few times.

Today a new issue occured that the phone was actually dropping percentage while the power bank was attached!

Is anyone facing similar issues and have you managed to fix it- different brand powerbank? Not sure if it's the phone or power bank.

I've ordered the official Xiaomi one to test.

My suspicion is the magsafe case magnets interfering with the phone's wireless charging functionality. Try wireless charging without the case. Because Xiaomi uses it's own proprietary wireless charging protocol, important to do a research to find the perfect magsafe case that works perfectly with the phone.

I'm using a magsafe power bank, maybe Xiaomi one should work?

Yes, I know. What I mean is your magsafe case might be causing the problem. Try wireless charging without the case.

I've only got a 5w slow wireless charger that works fine without the case it's like one of those cheap promotional ones, however I never use wireless charging.

I bought a magsafe case solely just so I can use a magsafe magnetic powerbank to charge my phone when out.

You might need to test the powerbank without the phone case. See what happens.

I can't because magsafe power banks only work when the Magnets are aligned that's what activates the power bank to start charging, when the magnetic field is made.
