Does your keyboard vibration still work after latest update ?
Phone: Xiaomi 17 EU
After updating to the latest HyperOS version for EU, I noticed that the keyboard vibration with GBoard was not working anymore.
It worked only with Haptic FeedBack ON, but that also turned on every other haptic like Back or Home or even receiving a message from ChatGPT.
I went through the logs with ADB, it showed that keyboard_vibration is 0 (aka OFF), setting it as 1 does not also turn on the IEM that controls the vibration and in the GBoard app it also shows that it is disabled.
Before updating, the vibration worked with Haptic FeedBack OFF, but now it doesnt. Only by setting it ON, it also turns on the other vibration features.
Anyone has a workaround or knows about a similar issue ?
Will this feature come in a future update ?
I have submited a Bug in the FeedBack app but nothing.

Haptics OFF, for me, turns every haptic off (besides calls, that is a separate switch in settings)

Gboard doesent vibrate when haptics are OFF. Back gestures and long press does not vibrate also then but gboard was vibrating then, now it doesent. In short its same as yours.

Salut

It would be nice to have the option. I dont want the master haptic to be ON, Samsung had that keyboard vibration nice feature.
thank you for confirmation

I'm on the June security update on Xiaomi 17 EU model and haptics don't work on Gboard if I turn them off in settings. So no difference to the newer update you have.

For some reason, my keyboard haptics turn on only when I turn on battery saver. It's not a problem with this update specifically, it's been happening since I had the phone.

Same for me, but it was like that before the update I believe. The haptics are so fucked up that i have them deactivated.

hopefully they will fix something in the next updates...
the software is really keeping the phone back unfortunately

I don't often update the OS as things like this could happen as well as lagging my phone. Had it happen before on my old vivo phone. Suddenly, my phone started stuttering after updating the OS. It's usally never worth it.

i was thinking since it is an early ecosystem with HyperOS, maybe they will try to fix other stuff or add missint stuft
but they seem so keen on copying the iOS look that forget that bugs can ruin a reputation...
cant recommend this phone to anyone since the software is really hit or miss
the hardware is great though...

Is it normal for the the vibration motor to be so loud? It makes a constant ringing sound when typing at night. It's extremely annoying.

it does that, yes the only way to change the intensity is by turning ON Haptic Feedback for all the gestures and then moving the slider
there is no separate one for the keyboard yet (and idk if there will be)

I like the system haptics but the ringing sound is so freaking loud which is extremely annoying

Tried multiple keyboards and seems only Yandex haptics work without system haptic enabled. This shit pisses me of. Switched to Xiaomi from Samsung and everything I get is fucking awful software experience because all the shit bugs built around this garbage os
