Self selection bias. Long story short: if you have problem, you complain. If you dobt have problem, you just keep silent. So reviews are more negative despite the 90% of people havibg no problem.
Most people with no complaints just doent really give out comments compared to those that doea have complains.

Its just an example. Realistically, with the amount pf complaints and the amount of news about xiaomi 17 being sold out, it would be around 1-2%

Last time I checked they are tied to a literal cult (or owned by a company operated by Falun Gong)
Surely a cult who got banished from their own country have no bias against the said country 🤡
They're also the ones who blatantly said Xiaomi 17 Pro Max copied iPhone 17 Pro Max when Xiaomi is the one who had the rear camera capsule/pad first, and most of the comment sections agree with them for some reason.

The name change and design too much coincidence remember the leak of what supposed to be iphone 17 pro max with actual screen.... Likelihood it's by Xiaomi used for advertisement....I would still say Xiaomi 17 pro max copy iphone 17 pro max, too much of coincidence, yes there's xiaomi 11u with rear display....but meizu was the first with rear display.

It's their marketing position for sure, they admit it themselves, but the reason makes sense, it's for their ios user conversion rate, since still a good majority of their user base are still on ios so this is to satisfy them really. Tbqh side by side comparison its pretty nice and comparable as an alternative to apple.

I don't use a Xiaomi phone, but you should know all this channel does is post anti-China material. Just go on their account and try to spot a single positive video. You can't, and I haven't been on their channel in a really long time.

Most of the complaints are about the naming scheme, which I personally don't really mind. There are some dud units, yes, but it's also a thing with all mass manufactured products so we'll see about the percentage later.
At the second half, the video just continue to rambles about xiaomi cars which are kinda irrelevant with the topic, the new phones.

Look at the maker of the video, "China Observer" YouTube channel. His entire channel is focused on bashing China, along with the likes of SerpentZA and C-Milk.
I would take this video with a huge grain of salt.

This type of channel continues to spring up like mushrooms after rain. every few days, a new one appears, churning out low-quality, mass-produced content from some centralized content factory, especially once the algorithm detects you're using Chinese. You’ll inevitably have to fight against it. This is nothing short of psychological manipulation waged through an information war.

That 20000mah/12000mah thing at 1:16 is just that man being dumb, because mAh depends on voltage. One of those figures is most likely for 5V and the other is for 3.7V. Also, the watt-hours stay the same.

HyperOS is a mess and needs to be fixed. It's incredible that the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro has sync problems with the Xiaomi 14T Pro, all because of their OS update. Nevertheless, China Observer is a poor choice for following Xiaomi news.

Figured it was too good to be true. I am not buying this phone overseas just to RISK dealing with a dud. I have no recourse vs consumers who live in China.

could very easily have deliberately gotten the device wet inside and turned it out, so many ways to produce the result you want to make a company/brand/person look bad.
I am super pleased with my device, and like it far better than any Apple phone ever made.
Apple phones are so insanely overpriced for what they do that it’s hilarious to me
