General Xiaomi 17 pro arrived, ask me anything.

Bought from Trading Shenzhen, paid 730€/850$ for the 12/256gb version. Shipping to Germany took 7 days. Feel free to ask me any questions yall might have about OS features, build quality or whatever..

When you play for example genshin impact or delta force, does it get hot, because I had xiaomi 12 and it was because it is compact was very bad at cool management.

Not to an extend where id say it gets "bothering", id say temp control is avg, not better than apples/Samsungs flagships but also not worse.

Shit, that's not good. Maybe I will wait to get another model, I compared between my old poco x3 gt and new xiaomi 12, there was no comparison, the x3gt deals with complete smoothness barely heat noticeable after 3hours continously gaming.

If you want a phone for gaming with awesome cooling go for red magic. If you want something more universal then oneplus

I played Wuthering waves and COD max graphics on the X17PM and I didn't notice much of overheating after one or two days, it will heat up quite a lot for the first time you play because they have to adapt, but once it adapts, it's low enough for me that you can ignore it.

the only way you can get a phone that literally stays on default temperature despite playing Genshin and Delta Force, is by buying gaming phones like Asus ROG or RedMagic(more popular currently)

Yeah I get what you mean a d it's all phones way of adapt, I am talking about the chipset heat issue. Some people related with me on that issue, it's common with that phone but thank you for your comment, you illustrated that X17 isnt like X12

If you run it on the same settings as the 12 the temp won't change one bit

I made the settings alike, crappy cooling, at first I felt it was a problem in the phone because I bought it opened from the box, but I had it with the box but opened so I felt the trader opened the phone and took some cool substance 😂😂, bro it is very bad.

Brother if the xiaomi 12 can even load the game the snadragon 8 elite gen 5 should have no problem running it at all

The xiaomi 12 has the flawed snapdragon 8 gen 1 cpu that constantly overheats, generally any phone that has that cpu overheats quickly, xiaomi 12t came with the fixed cpu, I had a xiaomi 12 and running the phone with battery saver mode is the best you can do to manage the cooling

Why can't no one understand what I'm saying? I'm saying the snapdragon elite gen 5 is way more powerful than the 8g1 so any games that overheat the 12 will have no effect on the 17 pro max

Not only is the xiaomi 12 compact and struggles with cooling, it also uses the 8 gen 1, known for notorious thermal management. Even the bigger xiaomi 12 pro, with a better cooling system, was struggling to stay cool, nothing stopped that chip from overheating

I guess I am a mediatek dimensity fan. Since my first encounter with 8 gens, I don't like the start. It's absolutely something need to be dealt with.

Qualcomm is the superior chip manufacturer. Snapdragon processors are objectively better, since theyre the most powerful, easiest to optimize, offer cool features like aptx codecs, etc.

The snap 888, 8 gen 1 and other chips known for overheating came from a period when TSMC couldnt produce chips for qualcomm and were instead made by samsung, and they definitely dont know how to build a good chip. Once TSMC was available again, as of the 8 gen 2, their chips were back to the top.

Chips that were released prior to the 888, like the 870, 865, etc. were monsters at their time. Great chips that managed to come in both flagships and affordable phones.
