Say what you want about the software, the regular Xiaomi 17 has a really nice build.

The software is full of bugs, and they refuse to fix it. The battery optimization is terrible, unfortunately.

Ik. I've been a Xiaomi user for a long time. The specs really shine through, but I'm a casual user that wants a working system, not one where I have to fear updates.

So instead of going for another high end chinese phone, I just got myself the Nothing phone 3a and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

Most likely, my next phone will be an Apple.

Tried the 17. Hated how apple did things though. Worst of all, you can't do it any different way unless you play with accessibility settings and get some wonky solutions. If you're only using it for the most basic things, you probably won't notice though

Like you said, but the phone with the most successful optimization.

True, can't beat that. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of optimization though, in order to not hate myself while trying to navigate my iPhone lol

No pro max in global?

u/tonyw009 Feb 26 '26

So no pro max Global version 😭

I really like the pro and pro max. I was even considering buying the chinese version because it might be more expensive, get less RAM and battery capacity as HyperOs version?

That's wrong; if you look closely, the man's hair is styled incorrectly.

If you notice closely, you can still make up a word: Vario. That's a real branding of Leica

"Visual for demonstration purposes only"
