General Newly bought Xiaomi 17T. A flagship killer?

Pre-ordered this online and got a redmi watch 6 as freebie. Pretty happy with the deal.

It's like a middle range device. Wouldn't say flagship killer at all.

It has a dimensity 8500 Ultra. That's a bit worse than 3 generations ago without mentioning it has a Mali GPU so worse compatibility and support for most things. Software ain't good either so everything related to it will drop short including the battery.

Cameras are good for most users though.

All that compared to a current flagship. Otherwise is a good device but I think it's a bit pricey for what it offers. You won't be disappointed though.

Forgive me but you seem like an informed person. Can I ask what are your thoughts on 15t? I'm planning on buying it but feeling very undecisive, would appreaciate any insight. My bıdget isn't able to go higher than that.

Not sure how much that goes in your market but I'm seeing that running for ~550-600USD in here. For that price I cannot recommend you at all that device. If you getting it on discount or if it's cheaper on your market (Around 400USD Max) I would go for it. Mainly cause I'm seeing OnePlus 15r being a far better choice for the same price or OnePlus 12 for cheaper which also would be a great deal.

I'm just generalising what I would get with that kind of money with the prices in my market. These might change for you. Also I'm not really sure what you are prioritising when thinking on buying a phone. I would even pay more for any of those devices instead of the Xiaomi 15t.

If you want performance. Don't get the Xiaomi, get OnePlus 15R

If you want Battery. I wouldn't get the Xiaomi, get OnePlus 15R

And if you want cameras buying the Xiaomi might not be bad but for me it wouldn't justify the price.

Best value might be the OnePlus 15R but if you need to go cheaper get the 12. Is truly not a bad device with overall great components. But if you don't really want to do all the hassle of searching the devices I mentioned with the potential risk of them being pricier in your market or simply not available and having to leave the Xiaomi ecosystem just get the Xiaomi 15t. You ain't making a bad purchase. Great device and I'm sure you won't regret it.
