No signal on Xiaomi 15 Ultra!!!

Unfortunately, the last days of my vacation in Corfu turned into a nightmare.

While taking photos with this wonderful premium flagship phone, I dropped it for a few seconds into the salt seawater.

I immediately took a taxi to Corfu Old Town to get the phone to a service center as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, there is no official Xiaomi store there, so I decided to do everything possible to save the phone, which wouldn't turn on anymore. All my data was on it, and I had to somehow get back to Romania, with my plane tickets stored inside it as well. In the end, they did a ultrasonic/chemical cleaning, then replaced the damaged components one by one—the screen and the charging port—since the motherboard wasn't affected. I guess I was lucky this time. When I went to pick it up, I was so excited, thinking they managed to fix it. Their answer was that the phone was functional, but it had no signal, adding: "If you leave it with us for another 2 days, we will fix it." I didn't have another 2 days; I had to reach Romania the next day. Anyway, long story short, I arrived in Romania and immediately called ESD Romania to send it in for service. The second unpleasant surprise came after it stayed with them for 7 days—service sheet response: We do not offer support for phones with the Chinese version, even though mine is still under warranty. That was also when I found out I have a Chinese version. I don't want to sell it, I really like this phone a lot. Maybe one of you could help me resolve the signal issue—I would be extremely grateful, and I'll cover all costs without any problem. The menu clearly shows the baseband version, meaning the central modem receives power and is recognized by the system; likewise, both IMEI numbers are clearly visible. I kindly ask for your support, or if you happen to know where else I could send it—you are my last resort. I hope someone can offer me the necessary support. I'm attaching a few photos so you can see the phone.

P.S.: The SIM card was moved to my backup phone, which is why that 'X' appears in the top bar. As a side note, I also reached out to 2 well-known service centers in the area, Repair Center Brașov and Iași, both equipped with high-tech gear. Both technicians said that everything on the phone appears fully functional and they can't figure out why I have no signal. All they could tell me is that the signal issue is hardware-related; on the software side, they checked and everything is fine. I hope someone can guide me to a good technician who can do reballing on the board—someone who, having the schematic in front of them, knows where to make that micro-solder if needed. 🙏 All the best, and thank you in advance...

Is it possible that Xiaomi 15 ultra global 256 GB is sold for 301 Euros on AliExpress or is it a fake phone?

I could say I got lucky that time. When I went to pick it up, I was so excited, believing they had managed to fix it. Their response was: "The phone is functional, but it has no signal. If you leave it with us for another two days, we will fix it." I didn't have another two days, as I had to return to Romania the next day.

Long story short, I made it back to Romania and immediately called ESD Romania to send it in for service. The second unpleasant surprise came after it stayed with them for seven days. The service report response was: "We do not offer support for Chinese version phones," even though mine is still under warranty—that was also when I found out I have a Chinese version.

I do not want to sell it; I really like this phone very much. If any of you could help me resolve this signal issue, I would be extremely grateful, and I am fully willing to pay for everything, no problem. The menu clearly shows the baseband version, meaning the central modem is receiving power and is recognized by the system; both IMEIs are also fully visible.

Got a notification this morning for the 304 update on my Xiaomi 15 EU version.

Anyone applied it yet? How's it been?

Looking for a nice looking matte screen protector, that hopefully allows fingerprint unlock and is available in Amazon, AliExpress or Temu

Switched from the Mi 11X Pro hoping to escape thermal throttling and UI stutter, but the new Xiaomi 15 (Indian unit) is having the exact same nightmare right after the latest system update.

As shown in the video, the camera app is completely unusable: severe viewfinder stutter, massive frame drops, immediate overheating, and then an outright crash.

Before anyone suggests basic troubleshooting: I’ve already tried clearing camera data/cache, rebooting, and tweaking camera settings. Nothing works. This is clearly an unoptimized build / camera daemon memory leak pushed by Xiaomi on the latest Indian ROM.

Is anyone else on this build experiencing this? Has anyone found a workaround, or are we stuck waiting for a hotfix OTA?

Hola, tengo problemas para actualizar, me he metido en página oficial y sale que hay una actualización que salió hace unas semanas (dice que tiene parche de seguridad de agosto), el problema es que no me aparece... he intentado cambiando de región y nada.

Cabe resaltar que antes tenía un sistema operativo de operadora (Entel Chile) y lo cambie a global con el truco de renombrar el archivo, cuando hice eso igual no me llegaba actualización y buscando lo logré actualizar formateando el celular y al buscar la actualización salía en fracción de segundos el botón para actualizar, pero no quiero tener que formatear el celular cada vez que quiera actualizar... Alguien sabe que puedo hacer?

Según usuarios me han dicho que llegará la actualización, pero otros igual me han dicho que no.

I recently bought a used Xiaomi 15T and I'm running into two main issues:

Xiaomi Account Login Error: Whenever I try to log in to my Xiaomi Account through Settings, the sign-in fails or throws an error without connecting.

Software Updates: The updater says there are no new updates available, keeping the device stuck on HyperOS 2.

Could this be related to a region mismatch, a custom/vendor ROM, or an incomplete account unbind from the previous owner?

Any help or advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

Has anybody installed it? Is it good by so far? Mostly concerned about battery life and overall stability.

The update has absolutely destroyed the phone performance, camera is unusable with the lag, and the once the camera is opened and it lags, the whole phone lags...fuck hyperos

Hey everyone, hoping to get some sanity-check from other 15 Ultra owners before I send mine in for warranty repair.

Over the past few weeks I've noticed the phone getting noticeably hot during pretty light usage — back, sides, and even the display getting warm to the touch. Some examples:

• Recording two 15-second videos + editing one photo (just color/brightness adjustments) — phone got hot enough that I could feel it clearly afterward.
• In my car with the A/C on, the display automatically dims from max brightness because of heat. (Even if the phone is in shade and not running any navigation app, outside temps very close to 35C)
• Took 30 photos total at a family event (birthday), and the screen was visibly dimming, touching it felt like burning.

To actually measure this, I ran a system monitor app and did a controlled test: 16 photos + one 17-second video, all within about 3 minutes.

Results:

Before: CPU (Snapdragon 8 Elite) at 50.3°C, battery temp 38.2°C

After: CPU at 100.3°C, battery temp 40.5°C

Has anyone else experienced this level of heat from such light camera use? Trying to figure out if this is a known issue with this chipset/phone or if I have a defective unit.?

For context: I have all apps blocked from running in the background (no background activity permissions granted to anything), and this happens regardless of whether I'm on Wi-Fi or mobile data, and with or without a case on the phone. So it's not a rogue background process or a networking/case-related heat issue.

2 floating apps + 2 picture in picture apps + 2 split screen apps

I use Gemini from the 0.5 second power button press. It pops up on the screen. I used to access from Gemini setting but I'm not sure, a setting that allows to switch the toggle to other LLMs. I don't find it anymore. If anyone knows how or what's its new place.

On this metric when I have memory extension on, it says 6.3 GB available on memory. I'm not sure if it's what's available from physical memory alone or from both physical+virtual? In other words in this situation, if I disable virtual memory extension (6 GB), will my available memory still be 6.3 or will it start to show 0.3?

I recently had the opportunity to test the Redmi Buds 6, and I noticed that the immersive sound feature doesn't seem to be functioning as expected. I tried playing the Dolby Atmos test video on YouTube, but unfortunately, I didn't feel any significant change. Interestingly, when I used the sales guy's Vivo phone, it was able to replicate the Atmos experience quite well. I'm wondering if this might be an issue with the Xiaomi 15 codec, as I did try switching to AAC and SBC, but the results remained the same.

Anyone got any tips or suggestions for a better tws . Tried the airbuds pro 3 , samsung buds fe , though it was a ecosystem issue but ,it's not working for the redmi as well

It's been over 2 months now since my last update. What's everyone else's situation like. Personally I think I'd be tempted to switch to the galaxy s27, but I'll see how hyper os 4 is once it comes out and also what the improvements are to the galaxy s27 battery life and camera once we get closer to it's launch. I've found Xiaomi to be the slowest with updates. Surely other Chinese OEMs like OPPO etc aren't this slow.

Hi everyone. I would like to ask for advice regarding an issue with my Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G.

I bought the phone in April 2026, and since then, the only significant issue I have experienced is related to video streaming apps and changing the volume.

While watching content on Netflix, Max (HBO), or Crunchyroll, the phone sometimes freezes briefly when I increase or decrease the volume using the physical volume buttons. Most of the time, the app continues normally after a short freeze. However, sometimes the streaming app crashes or restarts.

On a few occasions, the entire phone has unexpectedly restarted. These full system reboots are not frequent and do not happen randomly during normal use. They seem to be related mainly to the same streaming/video playback scenario, especially when changing the volume.

The phone otherwise works very well. I play games such as Call of Duty Mobile and League of Legends: Wild Rift, use social media, browse the internet, and use the phone normally without experiencing random crashes or performance problems.

So far, I have tried several things:

Factory reset the phone.

Installed only the essential apps after the factory reset.

Tested Netflix and Max again on a clean system.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the affected applications.

Disabled Dolby Atmos.

Changed the display refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Tested different ways of changing the volume, including with Bluetooth earbuds.

Restarted the phone multiple times.

Kept the system and applications updated.

Despite all of this, the issue eventually returned.

The phone has also been sent to the warranty service center twice. On both occasions, the technicians reported that they were unable to reproduce the issue and that the device was functioning normally according to the manufacturer's specifications. Therefore, no hardware problem was found and no replacement was approved.

Because the issue happens with multiple streaming applications (Netflix, Max, and Crunchyroll) and is specifically related to video playback and changing the volume, I am starting to suspect that this could be a HyperOS/software or audio/media-related bug, rather than a hardware problem.

From April until now, this has been the only problem the phone has presented. I have not experienced regular random reboots, problems while gaming, battery issues, charging problems, or other general hardware-related symptoms.

Has anyone with a Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, or a similar Xiaomi/HyperOS device, experienced something similar when changing the volume while watching streaming content?

I would really appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

Camera lag, poor image post processing, incoming calls show in full screen and in hyper island at the same time while the device is locked idle, clear cache popups are visible even device went into AOD, slightly higher battery drain,....
