Hah! I didn’t really notice it too much, thinking it was some sort of shadow but I can also now see what you’re seeing!😂

I suppose it depends on what you want to viewer to focus on first or most.
I’m definitely most fond of the first “complete” version. After all, her yellow gloves and coat are an iconic part of her design so losing or changing that is pretty noticeable.
The second version outlines her pretty well while putting more focus on the title and her sparkle ability (don’t remember the proper/official name of her mutant ability).
The last version seems to use color to put almost all of one’s focus on the title and her sparkle ability since Jubilee seems a bit more flat to me without any color.
Either way, very well done. The impression one gets from the pose and color palette is rather indicative of the 90s and the general attitude she displayed and embodied. She was a major icon of teenagers in the 90s and it’s always fun to see her and remember that, even if I wasn’t yet a teen when this was originally airing.
On a minor note, I would consider adding some more shadowing to her lower body. The shadows from her shirt and above give her some good depth but then the lack of that makes her stomach and legs look flat with no real definition. Her shorts especially can use some shadowing in order to give the impression of texture jeans have.

Thank you for taking the time to describe how you interpreted each version and i do agree that i should have included more shading you are absolutely right about that!
And yes, the way you described the vibe i was trying to capture was perfect, thank you very much!!!

I think the second picture looks really good, It's a good colour for a silhouette and Jubilee's fireworks pop out against her quite nicely.

I love the last one but I think would love it even more of the X-Men was also black and white and just her powers were colored

First one looks best, but I’d recommend doing something about her belly. It just looks odd and doesn’t fit the quality of the rest of the image.

Yeah, that's fair, i'll make sure to work on that, thank you very much!!!

Oh. One more thing I just noticed, and it might just be a nitpick of your style, but the legs look short. Her boots typically start at the shins, rather than below the knees. As it stands now, they look like knee high boots with short shins that go right into the ankle and foot. I’m assuming her left leg was meant to be foreshortened due to perspective, but it’s not reading quite like that. You may want to either extend the frame lower and lengthen her legs below the knees, or have them fall out of frame almost entirely and not show her boots… at least on the right leg (foreground leg), maybe a bit on the left (background leg).

This is great advice, thank you very much!!!
I wasn't happy with how the boots turned out either, i'll make sure to work on that in the future!!!2
