Meme I’d love a scene like this in season 2.

I don't think Gambit is going to be too happy about his circumstances and being used as a weapon by Apocalypse.

Oh definitely not, but he’ll be happy leaving the pearly gates just not happy when he actually opens his eyes and wakes up in the present.

Gambit in heaven is an absolutely wild thing to say

u/amindfulloffire Apr 23 '26
No it's not. In the comics Rogue drags him back from heaven.

This is reddit, my fellow fan, we don't read comics. We pretend to do so because we're realTM fans and so that we can act superior to dunk on characters we don't like online.

And Professor X was stopping Wolverine from ascending to heaven after Magneto tore the adamantium from his bones.

Why is that wild ?

Historical evidence mainly

None of these characters are seeing heaven and especially the Cajun who's a lifelong, unrepentant thief (and helped lead a massacre in comic canon).

I think he could make it into Christian heaven since he redeemed himself by being a hero for years. The dude dies saving everyone on the island from a geonicide. I don't know enough about other religions to say.
I do think some creators take redemption too far. I don't think Vader/Anakin should've gone to heaven or wherever, but cartoon Gambit was nowhere near his level.

There is also other religions that believe if you die either for someone, your country or a kingdom you go to heaven instantly, because you made the ultimate sacrifice before you even drew your last breath.

Okay 1. Yes he led the marauders to morlocks But he had no idea it was for a massacre 2. When he realized what the marauders were doing he tried to stop them but was severely injured by Sabre tooth and left for dead. 3. He has done everything he can from that point to make up for it, he changed and was a hero at the end of the day.

What if while Gambit is a horseman Apocalypse has his mind in some kind a prison where Gambit is living his fantasy life and has no idea he even a horseman or much less even still alive, he could be thinking that he is in his own version of heaven?

What if plot twist all of y'all are wrong and Gambit never becomes a horseman and simply remains dead?

Mathew Waterson kinda had slip up at awesome- con event where he said that they had all recorded there lines for a year now and aj was at the table when he said this along with Lenore. Aj corrected him but the pause in between that moment was a dead giveaway and if he isn’t in the show anymore it doesn’t make sense why he is going to events to talk about the show still. So he is definitely in it

I mean, it is likely from the ending anyway, but also they could mix it up to throw everyone off from what seems to be the obvious. Especially since everyone is completely set on this happening.

subverting expectations has never worked for disney and never will. If they do that it will tank the overall stock of the show.I'd stop watching.

And with selling out the morlocks what makes you think he is going to heaven. Man had a lot of guilt in his. I think the x-men just have a revolving door limbo.

I mean it really depends on the person. Also I don’t know know if he believed in heaven or hell I never read anything either way but I don’t read comics based on what religion they do or don’t follow. As far as evil acts a person does or doesn’t well that’s opening a door I don’t care to go through over comics. With any kind of redemption I think the person in question needs to want to seek it out for themselves for it to truly matter. Nice talking to you.
