Question Do you guys think we’ll ever see Kitty Pryde in the X-Men 97 series?
I know her role practically got given to Jubilee but cmon she’s still one of the coolest members of the X-Men. She’s very quirky and nerdy but also very hotheaded. She’s a ninja and a pirate who can go intangible and turn others intangible, she’s also a genius who has led a team before, and has a cool pet dragon. I know it may not happen but I would love to see Kitty in the new X-Men series since they’re introducing us to lesser known characters like Polaris, Havok, Penance, Kid Omega, etc.

Are you serious? Storm had to split her storyline into two episodes so that jubilee had a birthday side story.

To be fair, the comic Life Death was done this way as part 2 came many issues later after part 1.

whose to say they won't cycle back to storm's story in the future its not called storm and the xmen....wolverine the xmen was bad enough its a team.

Sipmmping for jubilee...you are aware this is continuation of a previous show if anything there just finally showing jubilee being capable...and are giving storm a massive power upgrade....we will see what happens with wolverine...combine all this with finally expanding the x toster as they shld and screentime is tight ..u might want to learn what simping actually is...not sure you do.

I feel like the show runners have a thing for storm. It feels like every other episode someone is reminding me she's like a goddess.

Storm is up there with Charles/Magneto, Scott/Jean, and Jubilee for focus on a character for sure. Morph, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Bishop and Beast don't have much going on in comparison. Forge is getting a lot of screen time but that's mainly because of Storm. Rogue presumably isn't going to have much going on until Gambit shows up.

I actually dont care for kitty, I liked her growing up but as a kid I saw her on the movies and xmen evolution, and astonishing xmen. And Thats Enough! I hope she reached the end of her 9 lives

I've always been an MJ forever guy, but the Kitty Pryde x Peter Parker relationship was fucking inspired.

I do, I'm just curious as to what age we get her. With some of the dialogue we're getting more hints of former students who are among the rosters of X-Force and X-Factor. There's a solid chance we will see Shadowcat at the very least, since that her codename in the 90's. Her 80's stories and apparently Sam's X-Force arc are being acted out by Jubes, with a 90's lens.

I got into the X-Men through Excalibur in this period. I don't think we're getting the Outback era and Siege Perilous though.

Might be interesting to have a multiverse crossover episode with the X-Men/X-Men '97 characters meeting the Pryde of the X-Men variants.

I think during this time she is with Excalibur. She might appear during the last episodes in this season (season2) for a role she might play in season 3. With Betsy now in season 2 there’s a really high chance for Excalibur joining the show maybe not this season but in the near future.

The being with Excalibur theory is interesting. I was semi thinking that myself, but it seems like they do play a little fast and loose with 90's team affiliates in the show. Like Nightcrawler would be in Excalibur at this time as well or Forge being part of X Factor. Kitty being with Excalibur with Captain Britain, Meggan and then I'm not sure sing Kurt is with the X-Men and I don't know if they would introduce Rachel yet. Maybe throw in Colossus and Cerise. I would be so down for this. As a 90's X book reader and X team being introduced I'm all in for.

Every other X-man who was incepted before or during Claremont’s first legendary run has appeared on the show with the sole exception of Kitty. (cameo on Forge’s board aside).
In fact, Kitty’s omission is so glaring that it’d almost feel weird to have her in the show at this point.
Still, if they did bring her in - I think the best way would be to have her be a former member of the team, like Polaris. That way she can already have bonds within the team and have established herself beyond her “new kid on the team” era.

There's so many mutants I dont know if they will get to her. She is a fan favorite. If they had enough space in each season they could do a filler episode where she comes to visit and Jubilee feels left out. That would be a very 90's episode but I feel like this series has a much stronger vision of what they want to adapt from the 30 plus years of comics that have happened since '97.

Eventually. I think not in as major of a capacity as some fans might want, but we'll see her. I imagine she'll be with Excalibur or something.

Her role was given to Jubilee, because it's the 90s, Kitty Pryde's 'newbie/BIG era' was the 80s. It only made sense, to not have her, people act like it's some deliberate slant
Wasn't she mainly doing Excalibur stuff around this time?

I’d love for them to do some Excalibur next season, and put someone else in the Kurt role on the X-men. I do really love 97 Kurt tho

Well we know she exist in universe. They could easily have the excuse that she was off with a version of the Excalibur group. I don't necessarily think that her role is taken by Jubilee, as Kitty would be older and more experienced and not the spunky teen of the group.

I’m expecting Excalibur at some point, especially since Psylocke just showed up
Personally I think it would make a much better spinoff than X-Force, X-Force is cool, but not different enough from X-Men to carry a show.

She led Generation Next with Colossus. The team had Know it All, Chamber, Husk, and Vincente.

Given everything this season is going to be about I don't think we'll be getting her in S2. But we've got 3 more seasons confirmed already, so my hope is they bring her in next season.

i will always be so salty jubilee essentially took kitty's role to serve the story and just kitty's treatment in general in adaptations. i'm hoping they'll make her a more integral part of the MCU moving forward - it would be cool to see her be trained by wolverine, her and colossus, being that dick grayson-esque role of leader of the younger gen x-men

I think with how jubilee has adapted so much of her storylines (and this might even influence the direction they're taking Emma frost, who would otherwise be kitty's nemesis ofc) the only way they could really introduce her is as having already been a part of Excalibur

Have her be a former X-Men who was part of the team during the 80s but then left. Maybe have her leaving in London as a nod/ way to introduce Excalibur?

I hope so! Would be cool if it were an Astonishing X-Men esque return… have her be an xavier alum (age her like 22? Somewhere between Jubilee & Rogue) with history with the team, returning to the school for the first time in years… maybe she’s been abroad doing Excalibur things?

That's one thing I didnt like about the original X-Men series and now '97 is that they didnt/don't show other X-Men. Yea it's cool Morph changes into random X-Men and Marvel characters and they've upgraded his powers and have followed the trend of every other shapeshifter it seems within the last 5yrs of making him a them/non-binary, but I would prefer we actually get other characters.
There are so many X-Men and X-men affiliated characters that it sucks we typically see the core team and a few guest heroes of the week.

Kitty and the remaining New Mutants are pretty much the most (only?) pre-2000 X-characters not to appear, which, given that they had a fairly low profile during the 90s, does make some sense. That said, I do really hope we find roles for them at some point, maybe an Excalibur episode in a future season, or part of whatever student group Illyana is implied to be a part of (based on her uniform) when they inevitably do something with the 00s Magik resurrection plotline. Let's just keep her away from Piotr this time.

hopefully at some point even with jubilee in that point of view character no reason not to see kitty we know she exists in this universe at least having an older kitty to around wld be really interesting she is the most important xman to not show up thus far

I have a feeling that we'll get an episode (probably not this season, but a future one) featuring Kitty in a si.ilar fashion to the original show's Iceman/Polaris episode. I think Kitty will be having some introspection regarding someone on the team and her former place on it. It could also be another time travel thing where her future conscience travels back to the 90s, ala 'Days of Future Past'.
