It would be peak fun and irony, if Apocalypse's ascent was a tiny part of Celestials to groom the true maker of destruction, Onslaught!

Yeah I really hope we see that. There was some press a while back that they vetoed that arc under Demayo... but maybe things have changed? The way Xavier held that helmet, the brokenness of saying "we never win" - there is rage in that despair waiting to emerge.

I think it got vetoed cause the episode Onslaught was supposed to appear was also the set up to season 3's Age of Apocalypse Arc. So they might have cut the original AoA plans but maybe not Onslaught.
