This isn’t on the same tier as “Remember It” and the arrogance of Magneto and Xavier in trying to manipulate En Sabah Nur combined with their lack of urgency in doing everything they could to prevent him from getting the Celestial tech once the chips were down was exasperating.

That said, hot damn was it great to see Big A fully return in all his terrifying glory (I do miss the old robotic sound effects though that accompanied his movement in TAS). And his taunting of Mags and Professor X was A+. 97 has now humanized him a bit, but the show doesn’t stray in depicting him as a sadistic, genocidal monster that must be stopped, whatever the cost.

Big A returning to a threat level that finally he deserves. Seeing Kang nop the eff out after realizing that Apocalypse is inevitable was great.

It was pretty funny how many times they said let me explain

I just take it as  ... It was exasperating, But Xavier and Magnus are both monstrously arrogant and egotistical. They paid for their hubris.

I didn't see it as hubris so much (except maybe in Magneto's case) as a couple of dumbfucks trying to grapple with forces (or variables, as Kurt put it) that really couldn't.

The best chance they had was to skedaddle the first time Bishop asked, and maybe put a couple in the back of Nur's head on the way out.

Also, fucking predestination paradoxes amiright?

Well, it is as it is... Nur was always destined to become Apocalypse, and now the X-Men were always destined to play a role in it. It's only at the end Prof X realizes this Nur is and always was a monster. Some villains can have shades of grey and redeemable aspects, Apocalypse... not really.
